Billingsgate Fish Market was formally established by an Act of Parliament in 1699 to be "a free and open market for all sorts of fish whatsoever".[6] Oranges, lemons, and Spanish onions were also landed there, alongside the other main commodities, coal and salt. In 1849, the fish market was moved off the streets into its own riverside building, which was subsequently demolished (c. 1873) and replaced by an arcaded-market hall (designed by City architect Horace Jones, built by John Mowlem) in 1875.[3]
In 1982, Billingsgate Fish Market was relocated to its present location close to Canary Wharf in east London. The original riverside market building was then refurbished by the architect Richard Rogers to provide office accommodation and an entertainment venue.[7]
The raucous cries of the fish vendors gave rise to the word Billingsgate as a synonym for profanity or offensive language.[8]
Within the Ward are the Customs House and the Watermen's Hall, built in 1780 and the City's only surviving Georgian Livery company hall. Centennium House[9] in Lower Thames Street has Roman baths within its basement foundations.

மீன் வாங்குவது என்பதே ஒரு பெரிய வேலை தான் ராஜு பாய், அது அவ்ளோ எளிதானது இல்லை, மீன் பெயர் மற்றும் தரம் மிக மிக முக்கியம், குறிப்பாக அதை நம்மால் சுத்தம் செய்ய முடியும், ஏனென்றால் சில மீன்களை வீட்ல சுத்தம் பண்ண முடியாது.... சில மீன்கள் விலை குறைவாக இருக்கு, சில மீன்கள் விலை பரவலா, சில மீன்கள் விலை கொஞ்சம் கூடுதல் தான், நீங்க ரெண்டுபேரும் மீன் வகைகளை இன்னும் நெறய தெரிந்து கொள்ளவேண்டியது அவசியம், சங்கரா மீன் வேற நவர மீன் வேற, மத்தி மீன் வேற கிளிச்ச மீன் வேற.... சற்று மாற்றி சொல்லி விட்டிர்கள் பரவலா.... அடிக்கடி இது போன்ற கடைக்கு சென்று வந்தால் எல்லாம் வந்துவிடும்..... நம்ம வீட்ல இருந்து காசிமேடு 20-30 mts தான், ரொம்ப சூப்பரா இருந்தது, ராஜு பாய்..... சமையளுக்காக காத்துகொண்டு இருக்கிறேன்..... இங்கு புரட்டாசி விரதம், பார்க்கத்தான் முடியும் 😭......
அதுக்கு தான் நான் வந்து எல்லா சமையலையும் புரட்டாசிக்கு அப்புறம் பண்ணலாம்னு யோசிச்சி இருக்கேன்

Here jumbo shrimp cost $15.00 per pound….but cant get type of fishes like over there. In usa hard to find Spanish Mackerel etc etc. Good ideas to buy in bulk and share with fam & friends…..🤘👍
