Unfortunately, England is not likeable and helped by the poor behavior of many english fans who booed anthems, disrespected the rare oppostion fans (insults, spits, ambushs...), lasered a GK or invaded a stadium without tickets. And you need a brave coach who would free young talents rather to slow their potential with negative tactics.

I feel for you mate and your country (I'm from the US). England have a very bright future but they need to upgrade their midfield. In this game and in the Croatia game in 2018, England's midfield was dominated in my opinion. I felt after the Shaw goal that England sat back way too much to try to protect the lead when they should have put the pressure on Italy and tried to get that huge 2nd goal. Lastly, how the fuck are you going to trust the last penalty to a teenager!? This could destroy his confidence going forward I'm afraid. I think that’s one of the biggest issues with England why they can’t close the deal is the fact that Southgate and managers before him are too conservative. You are not going to win the big tournaments by being conservative. You get that early goal in the final now it’s time to put even more pressure on Italy not back off and let Italy collect themselves and regroup. Once England started backing off I knew the equalizer was going to come eventually.
