A couple years ago, I’d consider the Warriors were in a great situation. A good to great young core with Poole and Kuminga then still have their aging dynasty contributing to winning with Curry playing at a Superstar Level, Dray playing defense at his age and Klay playing great after suffering multiple career ending injuries.
Klay has not played "great" since 2014-15.

I think if Klay buys in with the motivation to win a championship with young players that have never won as well as getting to play alongside the guy who was a big part of taking away one the chips he could have had then Dallas will be scary. Maybe he has a chip on his shoulder, wanting to prove to the GSW that he's still got it. But I feel like he doesn't give a damn anymore. He wants his money. I think he wants to win, to be clear, no player doesn't want to win, it's just how much does he really want it?

Chris Paul won't play a lot of minutes. He is injury prone, so the coaching staff needs to help him out with load management. Plus they gotta give Castle his reps

The cp3 pick up is goated… getting mentorship for our younger gaurds(tre, vassell, castle), while also getting Wemby a legit playmaker helps him develop his off ball game and get him looks he’s not used to getting. Why post that on this video? Klay is a great defensive player. The truth is that any defense with Luka on the roster is going to be shaky. The only way it will be different is if that taste at the finals puts a fire under Lukas ass and he comes in next season looking different.

The missing piece for the Mavericks is a big, athletic wing, someone who can create their own shot, defend and rebound at a good level. My first preference for that role would be Pascal Siakam.

Nah they don't need another shot creator. Luka and kyrie will have the ball most of the time, so much of their talents will be wasted. What they need are more consistent off ball players around them...and that is klay's entire game. I could see him doing much better than he has lately, as a 3rd option with way less pressure

Klay Thompson IS a future hall of fame player and one of the best shooters in NBA history. But that was BEFORE his ACL and Achilles injuries. Today Klay is a shell of his former self, literally shooting endless bricks and he barely came off the bench in the last two seasons. In 2022, when GSW won their last ring, it was Andrew Wiggins who played both defense and shooting the way Klay used to before 2019, and it was Jordan Poole who was the splash brother making buckets. In fact Klay only blocked ONE shot during the 2022 playoffs and he barely made a difference, and the last two seasons have been downright depressing for the former splash brother. Dallas fans are in for. a cold, hard shock this season. Teams like Boston, (who is keeping their entire rouster) and the Knicks and Sixers have seriously upgraded their teams. Dallas will NOT win a championship anytime soon until Bricka Doncic drops a LOT of weight, builds a LOT of muscle, and learns how to be a two way player.Until then he's just a slightly better Carmelo Anthony. Boston exposed Brika Doncic in the finals and other teams have been taking notes. FACT.

It's crazy how the Clippers management is so bad that they not only screwed over themselves, but they also screwed over the warriors too. Or maybe this was a big brain play and they saw that they were going to get worse, but chose to take down the dubs too. The only problem with this theory is that how is it that it's the dubs holding them back from a championship to begin with. This has to be some kind of deep trauma that's causing them to make such irrational decisions because there's no reality where you turn down a big package for a player who could (and did) walk for nothing.
