  • Hello and welcome to Saabkyle04! CZcams's largest collection of automotive variety! In today's video, we will take an up close and personal in depth look at this mint condition, near factory fresh 1991 Buick Park Avenue with only 29k original miles! During this presentation, we will take a 1st person look at what the vehicle is all about beginning with the start up, performance data, fuel economy, the occasional track data, and build quality. Also, I will teach you how to use most of the interior and exterior features in a detailed fashion, that before, you could only get from going to a dealership yourself! Throughout the video, I will highlight key styling and unique differences about the vehicle, any available options, and of course it would not be an enthusiast car video without the good ole engine portion with rev and exhaust note with interior and exterior perspectives. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.
FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE CHANNEL SEE BELOW: In this channel you will find in depth reviews/tour of automobiles from all over the world, presented in a more detailed fashion than ever before. Basically, this gives the viewer the chance to view the most detailed 1st person look you can get without going to an actual dealer yourself! Every video is consistent in the way I present so viewers know what to expect in my presentations. I treat every vehicle with the same respect whether a 1960 Chevrolet Impala SS or the 2012 Lamborghini Aventador. I film all types of vehicles from past, present, and future while broadening the knowledge of the automotive enthusiast. You will see everything from vintage, brand new, exotic, mainstream, old, etc. I am very proud of this channel and have built it up from amateur videos years ago to what you see today. @jkeelsnc Před 10 lety +48

I don't know why people post such hateful comments on here sometimes. I would agree that Buick could have given the steering on these more road feel and give the car better handling.
However, I like the exterior styling on these and the interior on them is not bad. In fact, I like the interior in the early and mid 90s lesabre and park avenue better than the 2000 and later models.
However, what really sets these cars apart was their great dependability and reliability. There are few drivetrains, even from Japan, that will give the long term reliability and durability of the 3800 V6 with an Hydramatic 4T60E transmission assuming they are maintained properly.
Also, the gas mileage on these is quite good especially for a big car. 30mpg is normal on the highway. Also, the 3800 is a very smooth and quiet motor with adequate power and plenty of torque. The 4T60E transmission shifts very smoothly and usually at the right time.
In essence, the lesabre and park avenue of the era were a dependable, reliable, efficient, and comfortable Big American car with little pretention. They were and did precisely and exactly what they were designed to do exactly the way they were intended to do it.
Aside from having personal preferences then, why all the hate and ignorance from some people over these cars?

John Keels Exactly! I'm not a huge fan of GM myself but Buick's 3800 is one of the best engines ever. The styling was very clean and efficient, the ride was comfortable... What more could you ask for?

    • @kgisabeast

The Buick Park Avenue and Olds Ninety Eight from 1991 thru 2005 (the Olds was discontinued after 1996) were probably the best full size luxury cars GM ever built. The 3.8 engine was bulletproof, and these cars had excellent rides and fuel economy.

I'll second that, and also say that the supercharged ones are very fast for their size. I've had 2 Park Avenue Ultras: a black '94 and my current green '95, and they are true sleepers. You can get them very cheaply as well: I paid $2700 for my first and only $1500 for my current one. If you find a good one it won't let you down, and it's not like you're driving an econobox!

Wonderful video, thanks! The Buick Park Avenue (and the supercharged "ULTRA" version) was one of my favourite American cars in my teenage years.
I found it a precious 100% American sedan, although the first time I saw it in a Spanish car magazine in 1992, I thought it was a modifyed Jaguar XJ-Series. But after a segond intensive sight and after having read the complete article, I realised that it was a wonderful full American-style car.

It had a white exterior and blue leather interior. I moved to Pensacola, Florida. I now live in Auburn, Alabama. I will be moving back to North Carolina sometime next Spring. I once live in the Rockingham County area from 1980 - 2004. Lived in Azusa, California from 1971 - 1980. I moved to High Point back in 2004. I left North Carolina in March 2016. I'm not a GM expert by any means as I drive a Toyota, but I know that the 3800 is known to be one of the most solid engines made by GM. This must have been garaged because for a 21 year old car, it looks like it hasn't seen much exposure to the elements.

Although I personally dislike the body style, This car has a great engine, and buicks have always been great cars. my favorites are the Lacrosse, 98 Regal, and the newer Park Avenues. You seriously cant beat these GM 3.8s. Best engines ever made.

A true car enthusiast can appreciate a car for what it is, not the price tag and what others will ASSUME about you because you drive it.

If I owned this vehicle, I would daily drive this beauty and keep it pristine.
