How can you not love these guys.....they are so specialized in entertaining. They put their hearts 💕 and souls on a silver platter to the world 🌎 🎶 ✨ 💙 with their music 🎶 💘
These guys? It was Darryl Hall and Oates was there “for the brand” as Darryl puts it. He could have done this with any backup singer and he wrote everything. Oates is a good musician in his own right, but this is Darryl Hall and another great song from him.
Hey I am one of Daryl's biggest fans but I don't downplay that Daryl and John have a very long history together and Daryl has been most gracious ❤ 💖 throughout that time. Peace ✌ ☮
What I love most about Daryl's songs is that I usually see his life stories regarding love. So as you listen to the song, you don't focus on him. What you focus on is the song itself and that is where it enriches your mind and your heart.💖 He doesn't. He doesn't act like a Playboy and fool the girls. On the contrary, he is his own man telling his own story and I'm proud of him for doing that. You rock, Daryl n John Oates💝💝💝💝
Will be seeing H&O with Tears for Fears in 3 weeks. Only "complaint" I have is their live shows (with or without opening acts) are pretty short. Think the last one was 14 songs including encore. Timeless music, wonderfully done, just wish we got to hear more of it!
An OUTSTANDING example of the "perfectly" composed rock song from the intro to the end and all the harmonies, choruses and instrumental parts in-between.
Marigold Sky was a great album, with melodies and lyrical ideas not explored before.This track is great, but throw the roses away is the standout song.
Great song. I don't exactly know how this song relates to you Daryl, but it sounds like the "player got played". It kind of reminds me of that song, "Fooled Around And Fell In Love", by Elvin Bishop. (Sung by the lead singer of Jefferson Starship) But anyway, my dear D, I have gotten played too, many times in my life. My daughter's father was a player too. He left his son's mother too. Well, enough of TMI. I noticed that you had a similar look on your face from time to time, while you were singing this song, similar to your facial expressions from your early days, of Hall & Oates. I like that raw slightly threatening virile young man look that you seemed to have in the early days of Hall & Oates. Exciting! Whew!!
These guys had/have serious swag. I think what is most admirable about them is they appear to be very humble despite their sex appeal, command, and artistry.
