I'm a brass player and I usually don't like woodwinds that much, especially saxes (bc c'mon you're sooo close to a brass intrument, might as well switch: ;) ) but wow I listened this 'till the end with joy. Such beautiful colors!!
If i can help you, i've just found something, if you type this exact title in the research bar, you can check It too: Stars and Stripes forever by John Philip Sousa/ Elijah Valdivia
Next Eb clarinet, Bb clarinet, Alto clarinet and bass clarinet. Or bass and contra. And then Picc , flute, alto flute and bass flute. AND THEN Piccolo trumpet , 2 trumpets or 1 Bb and a Eb and bass trumpet. .....so on.

So basically if the soprano saxophone player was a clarinet player, no one would notice the difference- Everyone can agree that a soprano sax is just a clarinet with saxophone fingerings
That was comical giving the piccolo solo to the bari.
Yeah, imagine the Tuba having it!

@@Baritocity I think I might check that out. As a Tubist myself, I relish when we get the melody
I think one famous brass quintet (Canadian?) did exactly that, giving it to tuba
Soprano Sax? Not piccolo
That bari player did it better than most piccolo players!
What a wonderful and unexpected surprise bari solo! Made the hair on the back of my neck stand up!
I'm an alto player and by the alto sax performance I can tell he had pride and glory playing his part.
I don't need coffee in the morning if I listen to this most wonderful tune.
Mighty fine work!!! Loved the bari sax doing the piccolo line...brilliant!

Precision! Soprano saxes are supposed to be the most difficult to control. All of these guys are great.
Waiting for The soprano to rip the picc solo

Give piccolo solo to highest instrument is quartet ❌ give to the lowest ✅
Even better would be with a bass or contrabass sax.
Was I the only one who couldn’t hear the tenor at all?
All four parts are easy to hear.
No my friend only heard it like 1 minute threw
Was thinking the same.
Maybe not as loud for my liking in the last strain mainly but the tenor can be heard.
Ok
