- This is our layover in Paris story. It is not perfect, but we did manage to cover the two most monumental sites of this iconic city- the Louvre and the Eiffel Tower. Watch this video to know how you can spent your long layover at Paris; how to get to Paris from CGD airport; how to spend a day in Paris. Notre-Dam Cathedral was on our wish list, but the site is temporarily closed for restoration.

Love it! How long does it take to get into the city by the train? When you went back to the airport.. how long did it take you? Did you have to go through customs to get to your connecting flight? Thanks for your video! it was helpful!
We took the RER B train to Rivoli (station near Louvre).It'll take 50 minutes or less to reach the Rivoli once you get the train tickets. It took us some 30-40 minutes to get around the airport, find language storage and purchase tickets. Don't worry, you'll find a lot of english speaking guides to help you out:)

What was your final destination ? Can I venture outside the airport during 10 hour layover if I have Schengen visa and my final destination is Italy ?
we were travelling to Napoli via Paris CGD. And yes, you can get out of the airport with Schengen visa and roam around the city during the layover. Just be mindful of your timing, you don't want to miss your next flight :)
Do we need a transit visa if yes , how much it cost
I have a layover of 23 hours and my flight arrives at TERMINAL 2E from bangalore and departs from Terminal 2F to Porto. I have a Schengen visa with me as well. Can I leave the airport and if yes should I leave from terminal 2E ..Any help please ?
What about check-in luggage? Does it get transported to a connecting flight directly or do we have to check in again? Flying with Air France.
You don't need to worry about check-in luggage if it's a single ticket, they'll get it transferred for you.

How much time it took in immigration? Do you recommend metro only or car?
Hey! Immigration depends on queue, ours got over in 15minutes or less. We took the metro, it's cheaper and easier to get by.So, I would recommend metro:)
