- Join us on another fun camping trip to Yosemite during the summer! See what it’s like to camp at one of the most distinct and beautiful national parks in the country.
We’ll rent bikes at Curry Village and bike around the valley, stopping frequently to take photos at all the scenic spots and to soak up the nature. We’ll also stop by Mirror Lake, Ahwahnee Hotel, and hike Tuolumne Grove of Giant Sequoias. And of course, we’ll be making yummy food and s’mores over the open campfire. And to cap off a great trip, we’ll do some stargazing at night.

Our gear:
- 6-person Core Pop-Up Tent (life changing and so easy to put together): amzn.to/4cCo4Ss
- Tent tarp (basic must have): amzn.to/3zqViFM
- Camping cooking utensils set (has everything you need, and is surprisingly sturdy/heavy duty quality, not flimsy): amzn.to/3zqViFM
- Double burner camp stove (love it, but be warned, it's kinda hard to clean): amzn.to/4eCvUx8
- Stanley camp stainless steel cookware set (I was adamant about using only stainless steel because I fear PFAs in nonstick cookware lol): amzn.to/45HWFfF
- Kelty love seat camping chair for 2 people: amzn.to/4clQ4d9
(BUT I recommend getting the three seater one, so you have a space to put random stuff -- I wish I saw this before buying my two seater: amzn.to/3W07d5p)
- Coleman 10x10 Mesh Tent (MUST HAVE for preventing bugs while you're eating and prepping food, but I recommend getting an even bigger one for additional room to roam): amzn.to/4cyYjCo
- RTIC cooler (just as good as a Yeti, and keeps the food cold all weekend long): amzn.to/3L0Hy7q
- cordless hand-held car vacuum (nice to have but not strictly necessary): amzn.to/4cyloFh
- Water dispenser jug (it's cheaper at home depot): www.homedepot.com/p/IGLOO-10-...
- Collapsible sink/buckets 2-pack (SO useful for washing dishes and carrying toiletries to the bathroom): amzn.to/4cwiYYl
- Hammock (Chesley always brings it, but TBH you're usually out and about hiking so there's not a ton of time to chill in the hammock): amzn.to/3zkgqh9
- Extra large picnic blanket to use as picnic table cover: amzn.to/3XFvv71
- NEMO roamer double sleeping pad (very $$ but worth every penny as an investment piece and for an incredible night's sleep outdoors): amzn.to/45NuN9N
- NEMO Jazz double sleeping bag (perfectly fits the nemo mattress): amzn.to/3xJZIXQ
- Coleman Skyshade Screen Dome Canopy Tent: amzn.to/3VN4Y5k
- Poetry for Neanderthals game (cracked us up - so funny!): amzn.to/3WsHRhH
- Extra long s’mores skewer sticks: amzn.to/3KYxcVp

Just a friendly FYI: Tuolomne is pronounced Too-all-a-me. I lived & worked in Yosemite many years ago. I'm glad you love the park, it's my favorite!
I really loved this video and you have a great warmth and speaking voice ! I look forward to seeing your past and future videos!
Thank you for the kind words!
Yosemite is such a paradise 🥺
We just got back from Utah Nat’l parks (Zion, Bryce etc) and as beautiful as they are, red rock canyons…. I think Yosemite is still so amazing. I want to go n the fall!
What a fun camping trip. Your video is very entertaining and thanks for sharing!
Thanks for joining us!
wow! seems so fun!
this was entertaining. Thank you.
Awesome video! Camping at Yosemite is definitely on the bucket list😊
omg!! you booked the sites my group and i booked for september!! thank you this video is so insightful!
Im your 1000 subscriber, this was a great adventure, Thanks
Wow! Thank you for helping me reach that milestone 🥰
Greetings from Redondo Beach 🇺🇸🇺🇸Wonderful camping video🌷🌷
Another great video by you guys. So professional. I saw last years too. Makes me want to camp with you guys. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much!
Nice video BUT... at the 38:10 mark you show the map of the Tuolumne Grove trail and it shows Do Not Climb On Giant Sequoias. At the 43:00 mark there's Chesley climbing on the Fallen Giant. The waterfall you saw from the turnout at the 46:15 mark was Bridal Veil Falls.
Thank you for taking us along! Went last year for a day trip and couldn’t find parking 😫
Yes, that must have been so frustrating! The parking at yosemite is very limited. Hopefully you get a chance to visit again!
Thanks for the video. That was fun to watch. Do you know if they opened the Merced River to float down while you were there? Thanks!
Thanks for watching! I’m not sure about river floating, we haven’t tried that yet
Loved your video makes me want to go camping. What time of year is this? Is this a good time to go camping?
This was Memorial Day weekend this year -- so late spring/early summer! Yes, peak camping months are typically summer
When was your trip at Yosemite? I'm going next week during independent day weekend. Also in upper Pines for 3 nights. I plan to visit mirror lake and wondering if there's still have good amount of water flow.
We went last month during Memorial Day weekend. You’ll have a grand old time!
Did you go stargazing at Tuolomne Meadow at the end of the video? I’m going to Yosemite next week and that seems like a great idea! Glad you had a great time with your friends. ❤
Hi, we went stargazing at Cook's Meadow, which is near Curry village and the campsite. Anywhere along the meadow loop is a great spot to stargaze. Have fun at Yosemite!
Tuolumne Meadows is 60 to 75 minutes east of the Valley on Hwy 120.
Can you detail the bike route you took? That looks amazing biking around Yosemite. Did you blog this whole video on your iPhone? Great editing!
Sure thing, here's a biking map: www.nps.gov/yose/planyourvisit/biking.htm We basically went from curry village > mirror lake > awhahnee meadow > awhahnee hotel > yosemite village > got lost > then biked back to curry village to return the bikes. We didn't have a clear route, we just biked where we wanted to and that was fun :) And yes I vlogged with an iphone!
@@iriswoohoo wow thank you for your quick reply and bike map- just subbed to your channel cause you make great videos! I think if you used the osmo pocket 3 it would make your vlogs even better. The fact you did this all on an iphone is quite a feat!
@@WTABallers Oh thank you for the kind words and for the recommendation. I'll check it out :)
How do you always get campsite reservations ??? Im so jealous
With lots of hopes and prayers. Your best bet is to rally a group of friends to get up at 6:30am, open up a bunch of browser windows with campsites you want to snag, and have everyone smash that 'reserve' button the moment the time hits 7am sharp. You'll have to basically book it 5 months ahead -- right when the reservations system opens up.

Goodluck! It's worth getting up early to snag a reservation :)
Did you have to buy ice for your cooler everyday?
Nope, our cooler has great insulation so our ice lasted four days
How far ahead did you book your camp site?!

How you book? There’s like a 2 year wait list . I’m sad
You'll need to book a spot right when the reservations system opens up (5 months out from the date you're interested in). We didn’t encounter any bears and didn’t hear of bears coming through the campsite during our stay
