Aurora Shores first hunt! Way of the Hunter

- My first outing in Alaska. Armed with the new crossbow, I tackle my first hunts for Alaska Moose, Caribou, and gray wolf and even take a swing at some Bison. The map is beautiful and I greatly enjoy the extended caller range while on Ranger difficulty.

I really enjoy your vids compared to other hunting game youtubers, as yours actually feel like a hunt. The confusion, trying to get range and the momments where you just have to laugh at yourself. Much more enjoyable then the "let's run around and go bang bang". Cant wait for more!

yes...other tubers just grind cotw....that's getting real stale now. i don't need to watch someone jump from lake tripod to lake tripod over and over for 3 hours ... lol

If there is one thing I'd say is about Way of the hunter Is that Kodiak bears originated on Kodiak and Sitka blacktail deer are also another one that originally were on Kodiak but how they were placed on Kodiak was a project to populate the island by the state of Alaska, so they took a group of Sitka Blacktails from prince William sound and transported them to Kodiak and let them populate the island which didn't take too long at least a year or two until fish and game made available to hunt them.

I wish that they had Dall sheep. I get the kodiak island doesn’t have Dall sheep but it’s just a small island down in the bottom. They should have put Dalls up near the mountain goats. 15:06 the largest moose you can have is 1333 - 1543 Ib in cotw
There are mountain goat up IN the mountains atleast. I'm guessing you are referring to the GO? Level 5 Moose on Yukon maxes out at 1367lbs, atleast according to all the spreadsheets made by community members, and the wiki.

I love the hunting in this game but wish they’d focus on the graphics now there’s a few maps and some more gear and guns
I think your wrong on moose weights.
Cotw does 620kg max weight diamond moose. But then the Great ones which idk what they top out at.
But I got a 636kg moose 499 score so I don't think it's that far apart on moose.
But the White Tail is ridiculous I'm hitting 176kg 4 star. Lemme check what my 5 stat was just. 181.04kg LOL and that's a small 5 star White tail.
620kg is 1367lbs, the 3 star I got would convert to 796.8kg. I agree the GO may be the exception since I do not know its max weight. but the 3 star I got in this vid is bigger then any diamond moose (weight) you can get in cotw. Now the most recent woth update did claim to adjust weights for moose, but i have still pulled a couple bulls above 750kg since then.

Failed a 99.99% 4 star white tail mature. I'm still very annoyed about that a 99.99% Whitetail mature and it's a 4 star. I don't even know what it scored bcos the mount doesn't say anything but its a 4 star.
But my 499 moose monster made up for it days later 99.7%. I see 5 star animals everyday they really don't seem to be rare.
I blast everything like zombie mode on call of duty and just slay.
check the weight against the age range in encyclopedia, just because it is a mature does not mean its full grown. it could be just getting into the mature range with still a couple years to go.
this is 2023 right? why with the capabilities we have are we forced instead of "given a choice" of our character????? We should be given the choice not just Aurora shores any region in the game. The first two you are River and then with no explanation you are Jackie WTF???? and talk about annoying I for one want to take a hammer to the walkie-talkie (you know you want to also) Why am I asking?? Cause on one hand the story missions are all about (Bad Actors) But you a free willy-nilly to Shoot anything/Everything 24-7 no bag limit no rules for you what the Hell were they thinking here?????
sounds like you are new to hunting games. the only recent mainstream game I am aware of to have a bag limit is Hunting Simulator 2, and by no definition would I consider it a simulator.
@@BluntForceRam you miss my point why have all the Catch the Bad guy/safety Neewbie "trooper" put in charge Save the planet stuff in the "third " reserve of a game you pay $80 for to escape all that in the first place? who do they think are the people that are playing this game? I am sure most of the people playing this Cringe to think of another "Don't Hurt Cinnamon Sky" Mission to be followed by a "Shoot 25Kg of rabbits" Cause some Visitor saw "Search for the holly grail" and is afraid of non existent Vorpal Bunnies.
your right, I am missing the point. They are interactive stories for entertainment and to help introduce you to the maps and wildlife. HS2, COTW and WOTH all all have them (granted with HS2 its a separate paid DLC. As far as WOTH jobs/tasks (after the the story), those are meant to give goals. A lot of players get bored without goals to continue hunting (not everyone can self motivate with trophy goals). Jobs/Tasks give a sense of greater play time potential by giving players something to complete.
