Hot take but I think if Riko survived and Geto and Gojo protected her from merger, Riko and Gojo might have been a thing as they got older... Gojo was already showing signs of consideration and change because of Riko, plus they got along p well and she wasnt outright affected by his looks.

Nah, I don't think they would've been a thing. There were more brother-sister vibes. She wasn't the only one he was considered off either, that was all to show that Gojo might not say the nicest things but still looks out for everyone.
The one who made a profound change in him was Geto tbh. He completely changed after he left. Riko is a kid and I don’t think even if she grew up Gojo would see her any different tbh. It would just be too weird for him.

@@Lunafroyo yes he did especially after he defected but Riko helped Gojo become more compassionate and kinder during their time together. Although Geto would lecture Gojo about their moral compass as sorcerers, Amanai was the one who influence him in taking actions. At first Gojo only cared about the mission but Geto was opposed considering Rikos well being in enjoy what time she had left. By the end of their time together at the beach Geto was the one who reminded him about their duty but Gojo opposed saying they should enjoy their time together for Amanai.
It was quite a very crafty beautiful Arc in which Geto and Gojo become each other reflections, how they started to how they ended they did a complete 180°. And thats what im trying to get at. If Gojo Geto and Riko had more time together I truly think Gojo would have slowly become more genuine towards others. It would have done them all good helping each other grow more naturally and positively because they had each other to rely on. Unfortunately this isnt a slice of life comedy or shoujo manga lol
@@semekiizuio I completely agree with this stance however I still disagree that it could ever turn into something romantic. Riko and Gojo seemed to have a bond that the Gojo *now* shares with his students. Gojo’s profound change after meeting Amanai wasn’t because of “her”specifically, it was more her situation and circumstances that made him feel sympathy for her. He didn’t want her to suffer a fate she didn’t want and Geto wanted the same thing for her deep down. She was young and she deserved to live. Not become a vessel to some old rat. If we take focus on Gojo’s sentiments on any young person in inevitable danger, he’s always one to take action. For example, Gojo meeting Megumi and telling him that going back to the Zenin clan wouldn’t make either him or his sister happy. It’s just in Gojo’s character to be compassionate to that extent.
Gojo is innately a caring person as much as the narrative falsely tries to paint him as the opposite. He just wants the youth to live their own lives, and raise up a new generation of Jujutsu sorcerers that have a backbone. Hence why he’s such a doting teacher. He cherishes his students and that trait in him sparked ever since he was a teenager and he was assigned to bodyguard Amanai. My point is, that it could have been anyone in Riko’s position and Gojo still would have behaved the same way. He was always some kind and compassionate, he just needed a reason to trigger those qualities inside him and Riko was just the perfect opportunity for that awakening in Gojo.

Those that came before were able to use Red, so Gojo knows it’s possible to do it and even what it should be able to do. He just doesn’t know how to actually use it. I think he said that the only technique that he invented was Hollow Purple.
Yea Gojo needed to learn Reverse Cursed Technique in order to use Red since it's literally the reverse of Blue, and he figured out Purple during the Toji rematch
