I think the largest difference between the two programs is that MSBA was created for a marketplace needs in which there were a plethora of data scientists who had programming and quantitative experience; however, they had no general business domain knowledge and that MSBA combines both general business and programming in efforts to have people who can communicate with managers. Data Science is technical and the best data scientists have now been in the profession for a decade and are comfortable with machine learning, regressional modeling, and variable modeling. In terms of career: demands for data scientists are highly needed, and their salaries may be higher than MSBA, but their salaries may become stagnant and there is a possibility that their skills will be replaced through AI and machine learning, but MSBA can move a little bit more throughout the industry. Either way, do what you will enjoy the most and can see yourself doing regardless of salary difference. If you are very technical and want to work in a back room on a computer all day maybe data science is for you, but if you need face to face interaction and project-based initiatives maybe MSBA is better suited for you.

    Hello.
Firstly, have an amazing married life! You deserve it :)
    Secondly, I have a question
I'm half way through my final year of Bachelors.
Most of the universities are asking for a WES course- course evaluation but since I haven't graduated yet, I don't have my last semester transcripts.
Should I do the WES process after my graduation because they might ask me to evaluate my last semester's grades again. Or should I send my WES evaluated transcripts till the 7th semester because a conditional admit is what I am going to get anyway.
Let me know how you went by this process. :)

There are two different thing. One is Business Analyst and the other thing is Business Analytics. Business Analyst is more of Management and Business Analytics is more of mathematics and coding. So if anyone want to move towards management then there are certification for Business Analyst. Business Analyst are the one who help in design and implementation of a Project. Whereas Business Analytics is more of understanding how a business is working, how we can make it better and predictive analysis. So here it is. Market is good for both the things.

MS in Analytics.... MS in Business Analytics often uses the statistical background to pull out useful insight from the related, unrelated data set. I see as a programmer who specialize in working with business data tables, queries, and KPI dashboards.
Essentially you are translating the requirements from Business Owners to technical solutions, You do need some BA skill to talk to people, but you are hired because you can do the technical skills to pull off what you need.

The university I'm currently attending for undergraduate, and applying for their MSBA program is not really like what you are describing. It's actually much closer to data science, at least from how I understand data science as a field is perceived. As an undergraduate, we've covered things like PMFs, PDFs, CDFs, unsupervised learning, supervised learning, and this semester I'll be taking a time-series forecasting class. The master's program continues to cover these type of topics in more depth, as well as 1 or database classes.

    hi @yudi J
you're each and every word felt relatable.
I'm sure you might be equipped but hopefully, you could help.
I have 1.8+ Years of experience in Testing and development and am searching for that course or field have switched 2 organizations and want to go to a management role hopefully you could tell how to move from programming to a management role or scrum master, project management. and what would be the perfect course and job opportunities?
Keep spreading knowledge very informative video just came across it randomly glad came through :)
    Thanks & Regards,
    Nikhil

both are technical roles. the person has to at least R / Python and SQL have to be an intermediate level for that courses. Plus visualization tools such as tableau, pbi etc
