SMG4 Despicable Mr. Puzzles Theory

- The latest SMG4 episode, Despicable Mr. Puzzles, has continued the arc that began with MEME HUNTERS and SMG4 and the meme factory. Let's discuss what may happen next.

Hey all, No Null here. So the third episode of this meme factory arc, as I will call it for now, just released. Following on from the ending from last week’s episode, Mr Puzzles finally gets inside the meme factory after some hijinks within his puzzlevision show, with the help of one of the Leggy’s who he ends up befriending within the puzzlevision show that they accidentally get trapped within for a brief period. There’s not actually very much to theorise about from what we saw from this episode, but here are some things I thought were worth discussing.
Firstly, the dark outro used for the credits, as well as the more ominous cliff hanger ending this time, makes me believe that this video was the penultimate episode of this meme factory mini arc, and that next week’s episode will be the finale and a big video, which for reasons I discussed in this previous video I believe will be the meme games 2024. As we’ve seen with previous movies like Western Spaghetti, there are usually only around 3 to 4 build up episodes before the actual movie itself, which is why this episode is likely to be the penultimate one of this mini arc.
On another note, I think this episode kinda confirms a theory that Mr Puzzles would take up a role in the SMG4 series similar to classic SMG3 pre You tube arc. Afterall, he had goofy cartoon villain vibes in this episode, which I really enjoyed, and I think this is the correct path forward for his character following the Puzzlevision movie. Also, shout out to the SMG4 team for using Richard Animations’ custom mr puzzles faces that I also used in Puzzlevision After show. They really add more expression to him.
Mr Puzzles’ befriending of a Leggy this episode is also worth noting, as not only does it imply that Leggy will actually be an antagonist going forward lol, but it also perhaps shows some character growth from Mr Puzzles as he comes to befriend Leggy by the end. I doubt this shows that he will be on the path to an SMG3 style redemption however, as I think that would just be a retread of SMG3’s character arc and Mr Puzzles works better as a villain personally.
Lastly, an interesting pattern I’ve noticed is that all the episodes in this mini arc have been parodies, even though only one of them have been a Puzzlevision episode. Maybe this indicates that in arcs where Mr Puzzles is the antagonist, every episode will be a parody (perhaps with the exception of the movie or wotfi at the end) even if not all the episodes are apart of Mr Puzzles’ puzzlevision series like this week's episode.
Yeah, I wasn’t kidding when I said I didn’t have much to theorise about. This was a very good episode though, as I don’t know if you can tell or not, but I kinda really like Mr Puzzles. Although I’d be happy with him becoming a classic smg3 replacement and having light hearted mini arcs like this one focused on him, It would be nice if we could eventually get a more serious arc with him in the future again, like with the puzzlevision saga, though focused more on him as a character. Perhaps it could be similar to my puzzlevision after show series, which you should also check out by the way. Part 4 will be coming sometime soon. Ok bye.

I’m starting to parse together a theory of my own:
Could it be possible that Mr. Puzzles DOESN’T have total control over his powers because part of it might be from Eldtrich SMG0(who was powered by the God Box)? Before anyone says it’s not possible, humor me and hear me out:
As we recall from the Revelations Arc, there were several glitch energy spheres coming from one of the guardian pods that were flying all over the place with one of them still unaccounted for. AND as everyone recalls from Mr. Puzzles’s villain song, he ‘cut off his face and put a tv in its place.’
I’m thinking: What if the tv that Mr. Puzzles used was hit by that final energy sphere and said power from the God Box made its own form of corrupted energy thanks to Mr. Puzzles’s mental instability? It might also explain how he survived doing something that outrageously dangerous and stupid. The God Box’s power could’ve kept him alive long enough for that amateurish surgery to even stick.
I know it all sounds like I’m just rambling, but many of us have already acknowledged that the SMG4 universe is pretty damn insane in its own right, so we can’t exactly ignore any of the possibilities that could be implied from both past and current events/incidents.
The cosmology lore is over so I doubt that they will reuse some elements of it.

But what I believe is that Mr puzzles will become the next super meme guardian as having both meme and tv powers can make him powerful. Not to mention memes is what makes smg4 successful. So what could Mr puzzles do? Acquire these guardian powers. This could also get SMG1 and SMG2 have a third key role again
@@minipz9thebastfiiter509 Even if the Cosmology Saga is over, I’m not gonna rule it out because that errant energy HAD to go somewhere and both Niles AND the God Box have done a LOT of damage. More so with the God Box especially after we all saw those wrecked universes in there.

@@benbarnett5743 Ok, THAT doesn’t seem possible since those orbs were fired off WAAAAAY before the cast even found out about the whole Guardian Pods thing. Keep in mind that those energy spheres were shot off from before those guardian pods landed in the new universe, so there’s no way part of Axol’s pen could’ve been a part of that mess. If anything, the energy could’ve gotten stuck on an object of some sort years before Axol even found out about them.
A theory I have is that the reason SMG4’s been characterized so carelessly when it comes to how he’s treating his friends lately is because Mr. Puzzles is going to serve as a sort of dark reflection for him, that’d be very interesting

I have my own theory and it is a bit far fetched, but here me out.
So we know how the showgrounds is a carnival yes? Well, that's what it wants us to believe. The showgrounds are actually the embodiment of an eldritch abomination that's been around longer than the God Box which takes on the form of various locations (i.e. a carnival). It often does this with the way of luring in prey and anyone who walks into the showgrounds is struck with a curse. This curse basically corrupts people into becoming obsessed with making entertainment no matter the cost.
The showgrounds saw Mr Puzzles and realized the potential he offered to it. Mr Puzzles would help the showgrounds gather in various unsuspecting prey for it to mentally feast upon (The showgrounds thrives upon negative emotions explaining the characters flanderization). It had Mr Puzzles up the page right for the SMG4 crew to see so it can lure in the crew as food for it to feast upon.
Alternatively, here's another idea. Remember the episode SMG4 Doesn't Meme For One Second which marked SMG4's flanderization? Well, what if Mr Nice Guy had some ties with Mr Puzzles and intentionally tampered with SMG4's meme lobe? I mean, notice how SMG4 laughed at Skibidi toilet and brainrot memes, stuff that he normally against.
I could see something like this:
SMG4: I will never work with a psychopath like you! I care for my friends and don't see them as pawns!
Mr Puzzles: Oh really? Big words coming from YOU. Have you not seen how you acted?
SMG4: What do you mean?
Mr Puzzles: You haven't looked in the mirror, have you? Well, I'll just show you some of your past behaviors recently!
(Mr Puzzles replays SMG4's behavior over the recent episodes as SMG4 can only look in shock as he sees what he's done)
SMG4: Is that...?
Mr Puzzles: Yes, that's you indeed!
SMG4: No, that can't be me! Surely you must have been behind it!
Mr Puzzles: Why no my darling! I was inactive and barely had any roles in those. Kinda ironic how you claim to be a good friend yet you treat the others like shit. Let's be honest, do you really care for your friends or do you see them as money makers. We're not really that different, are we?
SMG4: (Begins having a breakdown) This can't be right! I have been a good friend to everyone!
Mr Puzzles: Oh really? How about you ask Mario then? Like when you abandoned him for Pizza? Or when you chose to put your friends through danger just because you felt insignificant?
SMG4: I still am a good person! I know it!
Mr Puzzles: Really? Then why don't I replay your chocolate factory event shall we? (Mr Puzzles replays the chocolate factory episode and SMG4 can only look in shock at how he's acting. SMG4 now has a horrific realization at what he's become)
SMG4: It is me... What have I done? Why am I treating my friends like shit? This isn't like me!
Mr Puzzles: Well, isn't it obvious? You went down the same path I did. Let the power run to your head until it consumed you. It's like what they all say. All it took was one bad day for you to become just like me.
SMG4: But that shouldn't be happening! I have friends who I care for! I care about entertainment!
Mr Puzzles: Until you let the desire for perfection hit you again. You know, I wouldn't do this, but I'll give you a 5 stars over your performance the last few episodes! (5 stars appears as SMG4 can now only give off a sad face at the realization of what he's become. SMG4 is plagued by visions of his friends who are scolding him)
SMG1: You don't deserve to be a meme guardian!
SMG2: You are worse than Zero!
Meggy: Leggy? What sort of stupid gimmick are you gonna use for me? Is there a reason I keep getting used? Oh I know. You only see me as an object for marketing because I'm a tomboy! I'm just an object for you to use!
Mario: (sarcastically) You're a real friend alright. Leaving me behind for pizza and putting me through danger!
Luigi: That's right. I think it's about time we find REAL friends.
Mario: And you somehow are making Meggy the focus of everything. It's always Meggy this, Meggy that, and Meggy everything. It's almost like the series is more about her than me. Did you also forget that I was the reason you made this series?! Without me, you'd probably be another forgettable CZcamsr!
SMG4: Please Mario, you're still the main character! You're just taking a backseat!
Melony: Tell us, do you enjoy our suffering? Why do you put us through danger constantly? Do you ever consider the pain we go through
SMG4: Please guys, I've seen the errors of my ways and want to prove that I am a real friend!
Bob: Shut it! We don't want to hear more excuses!
Boopkins: Yeah! We've seen how much of a liar you are! We don't deserve you!
SMG3: I honestly don't know what I even saw in you. You're just a pathetic attention seeker!
(An apparition of Peach appears)
Peach: So much for being a 'nice guy'. You left me to rot in that pit for months and never bothered to rescue me!
SMG4: Rescuing you would've been hard!
Peach: Excuses, excuses! You only did it because you see me as an object! It's clear you only want everything to be about you or Meggy! I never should've let you live in my castle!
(SMG4 is now struck with guilt after hearing what Peach said)
SMG4: Please! Don't leave me! I can make it up to all of you guys and girls!
Mario: Goodbye 4...
SMG4: No! Come back!
(The apparitions just vanish into air as SMG4 is struggling to hold back his tears)
SMG4: What have I done...? WHAT HAVE I DONE?!

(All of his friends could now only look in fury at his statement)
Meggy: Oh so that's what those arcs were about. They weren't about us developing since we never touch on them. They're just your way of trying to live a hero lifestyle!
SMG4: But you don't understand, without those arcs, I just feel like a nobody!
SMG3: A nobody?! Wake up SMG4! Look around, you got everything a person could ask for! Loyal friends, your own castle, and a big youtube channel yet you're willing to risk all that stuff just to live some delusional hero lifestyle?! What do you think?! Do you think superheroes get rewards after every adventures?! And what?! Do you expect a parade dedicated to you after each arc?!
SMG4: Yes...?
Meggy: Unbelievable! I knew you could be delusional, but this is beyond delusional!
Mr Puzzles could lead this arc to this years The Meme Games or hopefully, WOTFI
And all I want is for Meggy turn back to normal. And she needs to somehow.

No it’s not WOTFI. Those happen in October. We’ve got 3 months before that happens. It’s going to be either a movie or Meme Games.
I adore your PuzzleVision origins series it makes a lot of sense for PuzzleVision motive and I’m hopefully getting his plush soon.
For the next arc villain, they should do a no nonsense nemesis guy who is actually pure evil. Someone who basically reminds the crew that some villains don't have a Freudian excuse or motivated by logical reasons. I feel like a big problem is how they are reliant on their villains having backstories
the only pure evil villain is honestly Francis.

*PLOT:* The Peach arc begins with Peach escaping from the deep dark pit that she was trapped in for so long still an eldrich monster then goes on a rampage until the SMG4 crew brings Peach back to normal. When Peach discovers that She lost everything along with her entire Castle, Peach breaks down and starts crying like Eric Cartman from South Park. Now that she is NO longer a ruler any more, Peach has NO other choice but to Live at SMG4's Castle from now on. But as the Arc continues Peach starts feeling grumpy, Then becoming more spoiled until she can't take it anymore then acts more like a dictator to the SMG4 crew and decides to take matters into her own hands and take over the world, and it up to the SMG4 crew to talk some sense into her. After Peach is defeated Peach she regrets everything she has done especially in the past and starts crying again. As the Arc ends, Peach promises to be good from now on be thankful for what she has, and treat everyone fairly from NOW ON.

Though, to those saying “this’ll lead up to WotFI!!!” Guys, it’s too early for War of the Fat Italians. It’ll probably be Meme Games if anything, or even something entirely new. We won’t know for sure until next week guys.

Because now that I think about it, in the previous SMG4 video SMG4: The Meme Factory, it shows that SMG4 and the Leggys making a bunch of memes but the question is though what is SMG4 and Leggys need all these memes for and who will be the mascot? And I think the answer to that is that there will probably be a Meme Games 2024 next week and I think Mr. Puzzles will be the mascot for it. Am I right?
And the same goes for SMG4: The Meme Hunters where SMG4 and Meggy are capturing memes. Am I right?
Here's my working theory that DOES involve Mr. Puzzles getting redeemed in some way: I think that he's going to become brainwashed by MEME4 (what I'm referring to SMG4's current state) similar to how Marina was controlled by Order in Splatoon 3: Side Order, meaning that Mario and the currently remaining members of the crew such as Tari, Saiko, Boopkins, and Melony are gonna have to go in the Meme Factory to save not only him, but possibly Bob and SMG3 (if they're still in there that is) and the real Meggy.
It would kind of finally give Mr. Puzzles the reality check that he's not the only one that can become god-like.
Also because I would KILL for Brendan Blaber to sing a cover of "Unconscience" from Mr. Puzzles POV because that song fits WAY too well for him.

I have a theory that SMG4 made Mr Puzzles for the reason that SMG4 said, “I’m no stranger, I am your..” before Leggy hit him off the platform in Despicable Mr Puzzles episode.

Seems like Mr. Puzzles doesn’t always have full control in the TV dimensions. Even he lost his memories until he and that Leggy brought them back and escaped back to the real world. Perhaps after his first defeat, that’s when he lost full control of his TV channels. Until SMG4 and Mario may have freed him back in the SMG4 The Exploro episode. And it’s all Mario’s fault cause he found and brought him back.
And the part where SMG4 Vector offers Mr. Puzzles to join him to steal the Moon might probably foreshadow that Mr. Puzzles might join the crew eventually. I could be wrong though.

i recon cuz he has cracked a bit during the episode where he has been nice/ good/ affectionate i do feel as if he is showing that he is really gonna gain a love for more characters meggy/leggy is just the start and i feel like it would end with mario as he find mario the most annoying
plus i do feel like we would get him to be apart of the main cast in a big movie or something in a year or so as he would prove to come up more and more with more cracks showing up throughout each
i do think that befriending this leggy could be a mistake as it would be a new big bad similar to marty and mr puzzles would either choose to join smg4's crew or sacrifice himself for the greater good
I like where this is going honestly but i'm hoping for two things in the future. One, I hope Leggy isn't permanent, I always found her weird and prefer the original Meggy over Leggy since Leggy is just weird. I get that Meggy isn't a popular character but making her a more weird character with memes is not my idea on developing her, I hope that after this mini arc is done, they can actually work on her actual character if they wanted to make her more likeable and not just rely on memes. And two, I get that Mr. Puzzles needed to be more expressive and using a fan's custom faces is a good idea that shows that you respect the community. But throughout the entire episode, I did not like looking at a single custom face and the reason why is because they are, well, custom faces. Obviously they are not as polished as the official faces and therefore the quality is much worse than the official ones which is pretty reasonable but my point is that if they really wanted to make him more expressive, make new official faces because honestly, just looking at his custom faces feels like this is a fan episode, not an official one. I'm not saying that the custom faces are bad, far from it but they don't fit for the official SMG4 channel is all. And that's it because outside of those two, I honestly really liked the episode
