In the “do mermaids need clothes” debate, I like scales on the chest the best. They don’t need clothes but scales seems like they’d be there on their body naturally and also gives the body some dimension.
True, but I guess it’s just preference. I personally like more hunan mermaids but I also enjoy fantasy mermaids with just scales or more fish like features

My mermaid has clothes mostly cause I like coming up with designs but also cause I want them to be family friendly... naked boobs aren’t accepted yet sadly.

Fun fact: mermaids in myths were actually very chubby, not in a waterweight esc. But in a muscle blubber protection agains cold waters and water pressure.

Oh my god, I absolutely love your doll! She's gorgeous! At first I thought the foam was gonna look tacky or cheap, but then you turned it into something beautiful! I just finished making my own doll a beautiful french inspired dress, wish I could draw doll faces as well you guys though because her expression really detracts from the punk look I gave her.

the change in color scheme made this doll design SO much better. the little pops of blue and green really give definition and interest

Nerine is absolutely gorgeous and so adorable! She obviously took a lot of patience and I respect that y'all took the time to figure it out and make changes when necessary. I love her.
The addition of blues and greens was a grate choice, because even if monochromatic is a cool concept, it easily gets overwhelming. The blue and green is a really nice offset! I love her!

She turned out really good! I think adding the extra colors really helped. And I love all the accessories! Being a pink water demon, she reminds me of Nevy Nervine from the webcomic Ava's Demon.
