I am definitely getting to the post menopause point although some symptoms are still about. Mood swings, the odd hot flush and the odd aching joint oh and my sleep is not great but everything else is just as I would hope.

Do late perimenopause symptoms go away once you are postmenopause?

      Hi Tiffany
Unfortunatley, perimenopause symptoms can extend into the menopause and beyond but it does depend on the individual. Sometimes this can be due to other health issues, stress levels and diet, however, some women do find that symptoms ease post menopause

That's a really difficult question to answer Gina as it is different for everyone, the average age is about 3-5 years so hopefully, you're nearly there!

I really hope my periods will be done soon. I've been going 4 to 5 months between cycles currently. I've also got most of the other symptoms too

I'm 50 1/2 and still get a monthly 3 day period. I never skip periods. I wonder if mine will just abruptly stop? My sister is 52 and at this point totally stopped periods. But she would skip some and have random periods before hand.

It's really difficult to tell as everyone is different, it may be a few years yet before your start to notice any major changes

Can someone be in early stages of Peri-Menopause at age 37? My cycle has gone from being regular as clock work then to irregular and unpredictable in the last 12months.

      Hi Leanne
A small number of women do start the menopause early, especially if other close female relatives started around the same age. However, other issues such as stress, change of diet, excessive exercise could all affect periods too!

I don't suppose there's a way to encourage the process...?

You can often make things easier by using specific herbs or supplements for symptoms and improving the diet and reducing strss can be helpful too

      Hi
A small number of women do start the menopause before 40, especially if other close female relatives started around the same age. However, other issues such as stress, diet, health conditions such as vitamin D or B12deficiency can all affect the hormone too!
