#12 is so real, it’s very frustrating I can’t play pubs without randoms leaving when they go down.. the abandon penalty should be for all game modes
I exclusively play ranked now because of this. I hate ranked in every game I play but I have no choice.
I disagree on the last part because most times if your internet cuts out you can't control that
@@empressofinfamy5135 I see your point, but in 95% of the games, the leaving person does it after he got knocked. Also Apex changed the reloading into a game mechanism, so that you can reload into the game after you got thrown out.
But most importantly: It would be a stagging system.
That means that you have to leave in a short amount of connected games.
So if your internet cuts out one time on an evening, you would have to wait 5 min or so. Thats not so bad considering, that other players who do that frequently would be out of the game for longer amounts of time.
And if you got so bad internet, that you get thrown out frequently, than I'm sorry, but play something else where I'm not forced to rely on you and your internet...

Fully annoying especially when I do end up clutching after they leave, and if it's not a winning clutch now I'm forced to face the rest of the team's down a man
Blaming your team or othereise insulting or being toxic can also affect them mentally and make them play worse. So calming down and being nice can actually help your team do better.

I know this is old but every time I get yelled at or shit on in chat or pinged at like crazy, I get anxious and run into gunfire because I’m pretty sure that’s what they must want me to do
Great list of fundamentals. My biggest peeve is when a teammate is up my ass looting. I always purposely break off. And some of the legends say “I’m going there, Follow me” and sometimes they do. Annoying.
Rev says don't follow me haha but yes I try that as well...
I left a ranked game yesterday bc I pinged "going here" not even "let's land here" and he dropped on me, idc about a 10 minute penalty I'll play something else if teammates are gonna be that stupid.

Tip 12.5: if you're dropping solo anyway, queue no fill instead of leaving us to 2v3.
Better experience for your would-be team, and quicker for you and your ego to exit the game after you couldn't even get a single crack in that 1v3! Win-win!

I appreciate your tips, the problem is clearly not enough people watch them or follow them. And I would add don't rush off without your teammate (Octane) , without even a ping in direction that they're taking off, to instantly get into a battle across the map and start pinging like a mad man because your teammate isn't instantly there to pick you up because you haven't caught up.

They desperately need a leave penalty for the first 30 seconds after death (when your team is alive)

I know this is old but I got ptsd rage over how many times a teammate will split off or be the jumpmaster and hot drop, die immediately, and then leave.
i legit risk my life to get my teammates banners but then they end up leaving as im going to respawn them, i used to leave the match when i went down or died but recently ive become more patient thanks to your videos always reminding me that i shouldnt leave my teammates lol, and when you start to play apex a lot you realise that there really isnt any point in leaving the match when you die, you honestly have nothing else to lose so i just stay
To fight the loot goblins, I make a habit of pinging “high priority” targets I know they go for - evo shields, R301, Shield Bats, etc. that means they’re going to be busy looting behind me and I can run just a touch ahead to scout loot they haven’t even seen yet.
I watch randoms loot my box rather than respawning a bit. At least it reveals their character and it usually a hint to just look for different loot. I try not to land directly with the jump master unless I know people are right on top of us
These are great tips! I'm new to the game and my strategy for awhile was to go into doors as a team but quickly learned that we all die immediately every single time.
I wish Apex had a tutorial that taught players how to play or even a cool storymode that would explain all the basics keeping it interesting for new players and not having stuck in a boring tutorial or shooting in the firing range for hours and hours only to die upon entering the actual game.
Also it's extremely annoying when someone pings a million times that "there's an enemy right there... Look there's a hostile... Help! hostile nearby! Hostile healing!!!" Like literally shut up please I can't focus when you ping a million trillion times

One of the best what not to do videos I've seen on here, fully agree with everything mentioned in this video. I wish more people stressed this, especially the part about not landing directly on top of your teammates looting path, personally one of the most annoying things for me and will instantly piss me off with my own squad
#14 don’t land in a location with 7 teams going to the same spot. Sometimes I wish friendly fire was a thing
8:30 this is honestly why I have for the longest time wanted DC penalties in pub matches, because in its current state pubs are honestly completely unplayable as a solo queue player, in my experience of about 300+ hours in pubs (I only play ranked now) 8/10 times (Which is generous numbers) within the first 2-3 minutes my teammate will end up just DCing on first down, doesn't matter if 2 enemies are knocked and the last is one shot with both of us at full hp, they will just DC and it frankly makes pubs completely unplayable.
I take charge of comms always. It encourages people to use their mics or use the ping system. Even if both teammates don’t use mics, establishing a course of action can really help when taking on fights, leaving fights, etc
I know the secret of this game, most players like to hot drop in the main cities and get downed to maximize their time in loading screens so they can keep watching tiktok. The other one is if you get teamed with an octane,, you will be a 2 man team within the first 5 minutes because he runs across the map

"Not expecting teammates to make the right play " is a good tip. We had this team firing at us down a tunnel and I made this flank and downed 2 from behind with a wingman and my teammates never entered the tunnel , they just kept firing down it even tho i downed 2/3 . They double revived them and killed them both. Was one of the stupidest things I've ever seen , I thought it would be common sense to push when I'm shooting them in the ass.
8:26 I posted something about this in a Reddit forum and instead of people agreeing with me I was told, “it’s just pubs, go play ranked” 😢 I learned the people on Reddit are the ones leaving as soon as they get downed
#12 is a big one for me. Idk why ppl leave so quick. If you want to play solo then solo Que no fill. I clutch so many fights just for the random to leave instantly

I really love this content. You hit on so many relatable and relevant topics. For example, players who have mics but only cut them on after they die to complain or call something out after they have been knocked. I can’t stand that. If you didn’t say anything the whole game, don’t say anything now. It’s just weirdo activity. Great content man, earned a sub.
Glad you pointed out that 1v3s are not always possible, it’s a disadvantageous situation for a reason. Players are getting better and it’s common knowledge for 3 stack sweats to stick together like white on rice

8:25 no let them leave, some of the best games I have had is when the random disconnects immediately after going down. Its almost like your ball and chain is being cut off.
And the worst thing ever that wasn’t mentioned because it’s so horrible, like who in their right mind would do it. When you call dibs on an item and your teammate takes it anyway, no morals, no dignity, no respect.

The not breaking off of me when I'm jumpmaster is probably my biggest pet peeve. I would actually be happy to pay for a feature that allows me to kick someone off me about 5 seconds before we hit the ground.
Also the people having background noise coming through the mic. I feel like there is some kind of epidemic with smoke alarms that are beeping because the battery is almost dead! It's like these people don't notice it or are totally cool with hearing a little beep every 5 seconds....
Bro, I wholeheartedly agree with all of these points. If every player would actively try to improve on these points, the game would be so enjoyable. Even more than it already is!

every time i see people solo on a trio or duo i open mic reminding them that we are not rambo or one man army we are just Average Joes . 8 out 10 people random team mates listen and group up with me
for number 8 i actually did but it was a long range weapon with a smoke bomb covering them from my team mate and i used bloodhound to track them
I've been getting back into this game after a year or 2 of being away, and tip 12 is just. Wow. I literally had someone leave the match while they were downed, AFTER we'd wiped the enemy team and won the battle. It's so, so much worse than it was.
Is this what Tiktok's done to people? If it takes longer than 3 seconds to get gratification, they'll just leave?
When I’m grinding ranked in gold-platinum rank or below I feel pretty confident in my ability to 1v3 most teams I face if I feel confident about my kit and have enough information about my opponents. HOWEVER, I will still make sure my teammates are close enough to me to capitalize on the situation if something goes wrong (me getting knocked) or I get down super low and need to heal for 10 seconds plus. This is called entry fragging. If you want to be the super aggressive player on your team and the play maker, you have to be as smart and considerate as you are confident and skilled. You also should play legends that help you get out of sticky situations if you play like this. And playing like this really doesn’t work in diamond and above (at least to this degree).
In diamond and above or in tournaments if you get knocked doing this it is game over. Not just because it gives the team you’re fighting an advantage over your team, but because it takes your team significantly longer to reset and get ready for the next fight when you get knocked.
On my college team I had a super mechanically gifted guy entry fragging for us but he played like a sacrificial pawn at first. He thought he was doing his job perfectly by knocking 1 or 2 enemies and getting knocked himself because he knew myself (IGL) and our anchor could finish the fight. But more than half the time he would get full killed or we wouldn’t be able to reset in time or reposition quickly enough before another team came along. I ended up having to drill into his head that his own life was our entire teams life, to not bite off more than he could chew, not get tunnel visioned, etc.
I agree for all tips except 7 because if you are giving out helpful info during the fight or your teammate loots instead of helping you and they don’t listen so that’s why people blame teammates sometimes
Too Bad Most Players Refuse to Adhere to the Most Basic of BR Rules.
Such as Landing On Top of Each Other and 1v3ing Off Dropship Because "I Wanna Fight, Not Loot." Poor Excuse to Chase a Number Increase, and Cause Your TEAM to Suffer the Rest of the Match, in a TEAM BASED HERO B.R.
I HATE when the teammates land in the same spot as me. Like land near me next building or something not same door
Tip number 1 is a must and gets really annoying, i get jump master a lot and i keep telling randoms to break off but they dont, they then proceed to loot the same building with me and take everything then blame me if they die because i have no gun or ammo

I hate when people leave before we can revive them. I actually got a banner and the person left as I got to the revive station , I hate that.
12 is definitely real had an octane rush a situation get knocked and left within the first minute of a game and even had to respawn my other teammate and could’ve used him during the end game

Tip #08: idk… I find 1 out of every 3 drops someone will solo drop then disconnect directly after dying with their team very very far away.

I started playing the first few seconds of this video over my mic every time my ranked squadmate (Loba main...) lands on me and loots my path because they see a purple something ahead of me (that I don't see yet).

I argue with my squad once a week about how when I'm jumpmaster, the supply bin trio I land at should be mine, and literally any other one can be theirs. Drives me nuts when we land alone at a POI and loot the same path, especially since the (amazing) update made it so that if one person loots materials, everyone gets them.
Number 10, all day long. I would add to it to check your mic if you're able before going into a match. Get a friend to go into the gun range with you and make sure you're not putting out a ton of feedback when you talk. I've had a few randoms match up with me and they're doing well with coms but the feedback makes it almost impossible to hear anything else. When I say feedback I mean I can hear the game or their voice echoing a bunch. No background noise, just all the game sounds over coms.
Sorry I left the video early when you were clutching it up. Old Apex habits die hard.

The looting the same stuff is a HUGE pain in the ass. Like every single game someone does that to me and I don’t know why it’s a thing.
I always melee a whole team to death by myself at the start and it always works, even in trios. Edit: Yes, even when they have guns.

Nothing on hot dropping with unknown randoms? For me, how can you possibly hope to survive streamer building, with 6 other teams, half of wich are well established premades? Personally, I would rather drop solo into trios, at leaste I can grab some loot and get some poke damage before I return to the lobby.

Apex should implement videos you have to watch before you can play your first ranked or pubs game, featuring info like this. Maybe getting creators like you to make them. Might not change a thing though.
Not gonna lie, If I am new to a game and am forced to watch a 5 minute video before I can play, I just won't play the game.
Its pretty reasonable to assume others will do the same, its why tutorials are almost never mandatory in a game.

Loot swipers are really bad on console. I've opened bins just to have a team mate slide in front of me and take everything. Then Insta die trying to take six or seven people and I have nothing to help with. I miss teamwork in Apex

On the very first rule I was jump master in a ranked match. Pinged where I was goin to land, picked up the only weapon in the building and this dude got pissed at me saying "you should’ve broke off" and called me all types of slurs for it 💀 like he followed me so idk what he expected. Some of yall are toxic for no reason lmao

Add pinging whenever you can. This game has the best pinging system in the world, and people still never use it. Ping where enemies are. Ping where you're going. Ping where you're attacking. Ping where you're staying to defend. JUST PING. But not too much. Lol
tbf if you get knocked and finished in pub its usually not worth it to wait for the respawn. Some randoms straight up refuse to take the time to respawn you and other times you get thirsted by three different teams that rushes respawn ship whenever they see one

If you loot what your teammate is looting you're an ass, I don't understand how people don't realize that then your teammate has to go back and take another path and probably getting 0 weapons if you're hot dropping
14. Do not revive your teammates between the enemy fights, your entire team can be easily targeted by it.
15. For god sake ping when you want to land being a jump master, its a curse being a silent jump master who neither responds to teammate's requests nor pings the target location and all of a sudden starts to jump at nowhere.
16. Use gold backpack, gold knock shield wisely based on the ability of your teammates.
17. Use ping system for different situations like enemy locations, defensive - attacking positions, status of your ultimate, looting area, respawn ship etc.
18. Don't use "fill teammates" of you are a god of apex and want to go 1v3 after landing
19. At least one teammate must carry the mobile respawn beacon, it can become a game changer in many games in last moments
20. When you are full with shield and health, stop filling your backpacks and extended mags when your teammate is down. Revive them first.
21. Always keep watching the ring distance and ring time.
22. Give supplies to your teammates when they have ran out of it and you have plenty of stocks. Apex is a team game, its not a Virtual Cop ||.

At the time I was only a level 7 or lower (7 being high)
Which is why I hate that their is no cross progression!
You can't tell who is new and who is on an alt!
It's a problem for new players! They need that low level counter to warn their teammates they are going to need extra assistance!
But nobody pays attention to that because of all the alts!
New players you are gonna be in hell for awhile, Not an easy game to pick up😅
