[WHITE] Thomson Process is an engineering company which specializes in positive displacement pumps and we are the Irish agents for Viking Pump and for Viking Pump Hygienic as well as several other brands.
[NARRATOR] Located outside Dublin, Ireland - Thomson Process not only serves its customers in Ireland, the UK, and Europe - but also Africa, Asia, and the US.
[GREEN] Our location in Bray in Ireland is advantageous to run the company from because it's at the heart of the motorway network in Ireland. It's easy for couriers and freight companies to find us to collect and deliver our products. [WHITE] We like to think of ourselves as a one-stop shop for pumping applications so generally a customer will phone with a liquid and a flow rate and a pressure and we will try and specify a pump that meets their need and a pump which will offer them a high value solution to their problem. [NARRATOR] Thomson Process offers key products including positive displacement pumps, custom pump systems, mineral separation equipment, and expansion joint options. But the products are just the beginning - Thomson Process also provides key services including inspection, repair, regular maintenance, and even customer training. And that wouldn't be possible without a great team of people. [HANNIFFY] We are a company of engineers from different technical backgrounds. We bring a wealth of experience from our different backgrounds to help the customer solve their technical problems. [WHITE] We like to be able to offer engineers the information that they need to make the decisions that they have to make and I like to think that we also reduce the risk for the customer because they're getting an engineered, appraised solution, if you like, rather than just a salesman trying to sell them something. [NARRATOR] In order to provide the complex PD pump solutions to their customers, Thomson Process carries a number of manufacturers on their line card - one of them being Viking Pump. [WHITE] Viking Pump is hugely important to Thomson Process because I think we share a lot of values. I think our need to supply the customer with a quality service goes hand in hand with the quality of product that Viking offers. [GREEN] I would say it's an easy product to sell, when customers get it they like it, it works, it does what it says it does, it's easy for us to specify exactly what it does. [NARRATOR] Thomson Process is the agent for all of Ireland for Viking Pump and Viking Pump Hygienic and distributes both industrial and hygienic pump solutions - giving them more options when serving their customers. [WHITE] Not all of the Viking Pump distributors offer Viking Pump Hygienic and we're one of the lucky ones. A customer will phone who is a regular Viking Pump customer and they'll say, "I have another application but I need a stainless steel pump and I need something that's low shear and I need something that will run as reliably as the Viking pump. So to be able to offer them Viking Pump Hygienic is absolutely fantastic. [NARRATOR] Through exceptional service and industry-leading pumping solutions, the partnership between Thomson Process and Viking Pump has made all the difference for customers. [GREEN] We have plenty of customer success stories. One particular one that pleases me we had building products company who makes add mixtures for concrete additives and we managed to supply them pretty much the same size pump for all of the additives. The whole thing is controlled by computer - very pleasing seeing a bank of ten Viking pumps that is configurable for the customer to make all their mixes. [WHITE] One that particularly comes to mind is a insulation foam manufacturer who had traditionally used packed pumps in 41 sites across the world. We managed to get Viking MagDrives in instead of the packed pumps and in some of the applications we got some O-Pro® sealed pumps instead of packed. That customer is now so happy that they won't consider anything else apart from MagDrive for that application.
