I love this video, lol! I was/am right there with you rearranging my carts and about to settle on purchasing core subjects and next month I will be purchasing the extras/fun stuff. I have been building my wishlist all year researching heavily the last month or so, making book lists, field trip ideas etc and just SUPER excited for the new year 🤗🥳

So glad you like the video! I’ll more than likely be doing the same as you in placing an order for extras either next month or early June. I’m excited for the new year too! 😁

Me too! I haven’t done the cost comparison to ThriftBooks but I may check out one of their book bundles one day.

I like to get most of our shopping done before our summer break as well.

I really struggle picking curriculum. 😅 I have ADHD and so does my son. I want to be intentional with my purchases and stick with something for the year, but it's so hard for me to do that with LA and science. We love Gather Round and Campfire unit studies. We are committed to Apologia for Math though🎉🎉🎉

Even though I have the curriculums that I know I like using now, I still think it can be quite overwhelming to settle on something. It’s not something I can decide on in a day lol Truth be told there are just so many great options out there, but that could also mean that the chances of you finding something you really like are higher. We have only used a Campfire holiday curriculum (Thanksgiving) but I would absolutely love to use more from them. I’ve heard so many great things about Apologia!

I leave curriculum to the last minute!!! I looked at foundation phonics online and it looked too confusing compared to AAR and TGTB!!! I love Open ended art and craft books as I want my kids to express themselves!!! I’m always looking for real world math!! With my older daughter my husband gives her medicine math problems as she’s doing a homeschool pre med course!!! I don’t buy art books every year!!! I grab supplies as needed!!! My older daughter at 1 was difficult to keep her doing appropriate things and I’m glad we are out of that phase!!!

Last minute shopping always makes me feel behind in planning certain things out. I suppose I’m somewhat type A there lol I’ve looked at Foundations Phonics too and actually considered getting it, but instead am going with From Phonics to Reading. AAR and TGTB both look pretty straight forward and simple in setup compared to both Foundation Phonics and From Phonics to Reading. Open ended art books can be so fun and I think we will really like the ones I’ve purchased. A homeschool pre med course?! That’s awesome! You made me laugh talking about your 1 year old because I have a feeling that just may be me with my current 1 year old lol 😬
