A tip from my experience, never buy gan cubes if ur budget is just 20 to 30 dollars buy qiyi or moyu's flagship if u r gonna buy a gan better buy thegan 12 or the newest
Yeah thanks for the tip but I already know that I mainly bought the gan 356 ME mainly to just have it in my collection I actually have the gan 12 but I prefer the x-man tornado v3 but I do have to say that the gan 356 ME is really good for gans newest budget cube

not really, i bought this cube just to see where gan was now after being away from cubing for 3 years, ngl it isn't bad. It gets alot more hate than it deserves. Center Travel: 2, Compression: 4. You do need a lube that can slow down the cube a bit like FZ calm, but that's really it. If you like faster more flexible cubes its a solid alternative compared to my RS3M V5 BC. The V5 is more easier to learn with and get consistent results if you have a harsh turning style, but is more blockier. But if you break in the cube and do the above it works really well. In other words, the ME is great and compares well against other cubes on the market because when its set up well it gives you similar performance, but a completely different turning feeI, compared to the RS3M V5 as it feels like a RS3M 2020 but with slight improvements. might test the 356 Maglev cuz it should be a more stable version of this cube with a better adjustment system.

If you like a slower more controlled cube, the RS3M V5 is a better alternative, but if you like a faster more flexible cube this is better. You do need lube to slow this down though. Like FZ calm or Cosmos. Recommend center travel 2, compression 4.
I don't understand the tension setting. In the manual it shows a completely different setting device with 2 functions (center travel and tension) but the device can actually only change one. Don't understand that. How to change the tension? My cube doesn't turn nearly as smoothly.
In the bottom there is an arrow in the gap in the blue transparent plastic area. Around the corners there are numbers that for some dumb reason are the same exact color as the normal plastic. The arrow that points at a number tells you the compression setting which controls the stability of the cube through spring compression. At the top of the light blue plastic is the center travel, and where ever the gap lands is the number of the setting. For center travel, higher is looser. For spring compression, higher is tighter. I recommend the settings 2 for center travel, and 4 for spring compression. The cube requires some break in to feel better and to wear off the frosted plastic more. When broken in the frosted plastic should feel a bit smoother. I recommend buying a cube lubricant that slows down your cube like FZ calm, or cosmos.

To me I like the GAN 356 ME more than the Super RS3M ball core but It just depends on what you like if you like flexible and more controllable you would like the Super RS3M ball core or if you like faster and less controllable you would like the GAN 356 ME. I hope that answered your question.
