We're so used to hearing good singers that are just ordinary people thus we have such high standard when it comes to our local professional artists.
Pro singers to make it big in PH must be great vocalists, does not do autotune in vocal pitch, does not lip sync or they'll be bashed.
So if you perform live and Filos give you standing ovation means you are extraordinarily phenomenal.

  • @cleolauren8670
    @cleolauren8670 Před 10 měsíci +63

This compilation isn't even the best that's out there. This is what we would consider very ordinary, since everyone sing here as a way of life. That's why our professional singers need to be bars higher vocally than ordinary otherwise no one will pay any attention to them. SB19's Crimzone Wish Bus performance is out now BTW. Hope you can check it out soon. Hugs from the Philippines.

I was going to the same thing. There's other compilations with even better singers. 😂

There are so many untrained but extremely talented ordinary people who can really really sing here in PH, but there's no enough opportunity to showcase them. Unlike in Korea that has so many agencies who focus on training idols, we don't have those here. If you want to pursue becoming a singer professionally, you'll have to start from joining small scale singing contests which is popular among local municipalities. Then if lucky, can start performing in Bars, Restaurants or Private Events where you can probably scouted and be launched as a professional singer who perform in TV shows and produce music albums/single. And Filipinos are very critical to fellow Filipinos when it comes to singing, we are lenient to foreign artists though.

For you to be appreciated here in the professional singing field, having a good singing voice is not enough, your voice has to be unique and have it's own character and color for it to be able to stand out from everyone elses.

That's because we like musics since were born our parents used to play songs while putting us to sleep and in everyday life whenever we're bored or what were doing or whenever cleaning or bathing we play musics and more on we sing it and humming, whenever when were in a road or in other places we just suddenly sing(even if we're out of tune). Also whenever there's have an occasion here there's always a karaoke so that's why we practice our vocals through karaoke he he^^

    Hello! Good day Purple Twins!🙂
I hope you can make a reaction video about SB19's live performace for their song Crimzone on Wish bus USA.🎤🎧🇺🇸
SB19 recognized as live vocal monsters when it comes to performing.
because, they don't use auto-tune when singing live and they don't lip-sync while singing.
In the Philippines they are known as P-Pop Kings and their fandom name is A'tin. It means "our" or "own" and beside of that, SB19 is also known as MAHALIMA.
Mahal+Lima means love for the five members of SB19.
Thank you for your heart-warming support and admiration for our beloved dearest P-Pop Kings.💙
Stay safe and God bless you all.

i'm filipino yet i can't carry a tune... growing up I was envious of my classmates and friends who can sing really good. I would theorize that it is through genes as we were colonized by Spain. I'm not sure if you knew but regionally, in Cebu most of the famous Filipino singers are from there (Spaniards stayed longer in Cebu area...) Also I guess because of our exposure through colonizations (Spain for 333 years, Americans and Japanese) we developed a good ear on listening to good beats and rhythm so switching into different genre of music is easy for Filipinos (except me).

Music is a part of everyday life in the Philippines. Music is played everywhere, in our homes, at schools, at restaurants, in the mall, at church, even in taxis. People also sing at special occasions such as weddings, birthdays, Christmas, graduation, some even at funerals. Most Filipinos do not have professional vocal training but we have Karaoke and Videoke to practice our singing. Not everyone is a great singer in the Philippines, but most people can sing in tune.

These are very typical in Philippines. Early in the morning you can already hear your neighbor singing to the top of their lungs with karaokes. One culture shock I guess I had when I moved here in US was when I went to a Fil-Am gathering and theres karaoke. After singing some Avril and Celine Dion songs, I got a lot of compliments though I am pretty sure a couple of times I was off key. I was like, these barely happens at home, Im not even a belter.😅😅😅
