    7.3L is no joke! Solid truck for sure. I have heard lots of opinions about 350 vs 250, but I think it all comes down to requirements. You do a lot of heavy duty towing and all that, gotta rock that 350.

    We care about your opinion! This is my absolute favorite configuration and bed size. It's just enough cab and bed length without being too long and having an enormous turning circle. Great review!
    Edit: I like how the "Snow Plow Prep Package" gives the truck more of a leveled look. Does it affect the ride without a plow attached?

    Got a 2024 F250 Lariat 7.3 Super Crew in December. Using it for commuting 70 miles round trip to/from Houston, and to tow a 26' travel trailer. No regrets getting the 7.3 vs. the diesel, it's all I hoped it would be. And I'm getting 14.2 mpg commuting in heavy city traffic and light traffic rural highway driving. Getting 8.2 MPG towing keeping it at 65 mph.

    7.3L is kind of neat, since Ford went with a pushrod, old school design. It should be a solid, reliable V8 long term. The 7.3L is now their commercial engine, replacing the old 6.8L V10 "Triton" engine. I'm sure we will see the 7.3L used in a lot of class C RV's, etc.

      Our class c had the 7.3 and we loved it. It turned out to be the only thing we would loved about our class c. We have a TT now currently pulling it with my 22 year old (original owner) F250 lariat, V10. I chose that V10 gasser because we couldn't kill those engines, in our ambulances. Then they went to diesel.
      My own V10 has never failed and we do not baby it. We may be replacing but it can go another 100K but if we do, it will definately be the F250 with the 7.3. What a beast.

    The 6.7 vs 7.3 is an interesting debate. The HO 6.7 is just a beast, but it's a $12K option, you have to constantly feed it DEF, deal with constant regen cycles, $250+ oil changes due to requiring 15 quarts of oil, changing 2 fuel filters every other oil change, and you have to remove the cab to work on the 6.7. So, although the 6.7 is definitely more powerful and will get marginally better fuel economy, it's going to be A LOT more expensive to run and maintain throughout the life of the truck. The 7.3 won't have any of those issues. As long as the 7.3 is anywhere near reliable and meets your performance/towing needs, I'd argue it's the better engine for the money. Of course, if you've got money to burn, then get the HO 6.7 and enjoy it.

    • @bryansteed5916
      @bryansteed5916 Před rokem +9

      So not true. How do you validate a statement like that? Diesel is currently cheaper than gas where I live and diesels always pull anywhere to 1.5x-2x mpg’s over a gasser. Plus, whenever you are towing with this truck, the gasser is going to dive way harder in mpg’s than a diesel as well. Diesel has more power and is way better economically.

    • @alanholmes2366
      @alanholmes2366 Před rokem +35

      Diesel fuel is more expensive in most of the country. DEF fluid (Urea) is required for emissions and is an additional cost and has even had shortages in some areas. Oil changes cost more, regular maintenance is more, fuel filters, water separation, diesel additives, etc. If you’re not doing heavy towing (over 10k lbs) regularly and driving a ton of miles no point to getting the diesel. Diesel also is going to run 6-10k more right from the start!!

Some of the styling though reminds me a lot of the GM products although you can still tell it's a Ford. You look so good next to that truck and that outfit. That is what a real man drives without modification. Trade your junky Mercedes for that truck.

    I wonder how much more power and how much mpg gains you would get by putting twin turbos on the 7.3🤠

    Would be interesting to see a size comparison between this and a f150 for us non US people who dont see them on a daily basis

      The cab portion of the truck is identical to the F-150 the differences are in the body and frame. so basically it is longer and sits higher up based on how you option it

      @@carguy0389 People love them here. I have a 2018 F-350 that I use for work but honestly even if I did not need it for my job I probably would still buy one just because I love them so much.
