Since Nasutoceratops has a relatively heavy head, the neck probably develops very strong muscle even at a young age. Seeing as the Allosaurus had it by the edge of the skull, it wasn't biting into anything soft, and it definitely didn't shake it around enough for a Neck Snap. Allosaurs preyed on the herbivores of their day, like sauropods and ornithopods. It instinctively went for the neck, which was the most vulnerable location on its native era's prey animals, but the least vulnerable part of a short-necked, bony-frilled ceratopsid.
Very nice attention to detail. Its match ups like these why i love jp/jw. Fights often use there evolutionary traits to thier adventage . the ceratopsians seem pretty well fortifed in this series especially counting the sino vs carno fight .
@@cryptodino3roberts712 Wish they would commit to that more often but Dominion is all awesomebro with its dinos and its basically all quantity over quality which sucks
@@stefansalvatierra4913 that’s outdated. While it’s bite was weak compared to other large predatory theropods, it was easily stronger than any modern carnivore.
I find this short film to be extremely entertaining. It does just a part of what I’m hoping Dominion will do: explore more about what it’s like living in a world with wild dinosaurs.
The mother Nasutoceratops sure put up a good fight against the Allosaurus. 1:07 Thank goodness dad showed up to protect them, and he looks intimidating with those bigger horns.
0:42 "Allosaurus. Definitely a carnivore" What did you expect, theropods eat meat except for ornithomimosaurs, therizinosaurs, oviraptorosaurs and Chilesaurus...
that line was totally unnecessary, who would try to identify which species of dinosaur is it in a life or death situation like that? That's something that kids do very often in these movies, and it bothers me a lot
King Rexy Oh yeah, I remember you saying it was your favourite dinosaur because of its uniqueness. You must *LOVE* what Prehistoric Kingdom’s doing with it.

Head isn't exactly wide. Seems that way but when you look at the VFX breakdown video, it isn't. Surprisingly it actually isn't that inaccurate. It's fairly decently well made. Problem is that we didn't know this was based on jimmadseni and so we saw most of its best points as inaccuracies. Scutes need to go tho. The actual inaccuracies are the lips, the feet, the leg musculature, lack of gastralia.
@@jc0044 Covering the baby's mouth wouldn't change anything, The Crying already caught the Allosaurus' attention, so covering the baby's mouth would be pointless Secondly even if that wasn't the case, covering the baby's mouth would just make it cry even more or worse, you'd end up accidentally smothering the poor thing to death
A very unique and nice looking Ceratopsian, not to mention that adorable baby.
Drake Petty If it wasn’t for that frill, baby would’ve had his/her whole head crunched.
Drake Petty It could also be that the Ingen’s Allosaurus doesn’t have a strong enough bite force
Drake Petty That would result in the Allosaurus being choked to death.
Drake Petty But it looks like she mostly just wanted to crunch the skull.
Drake Petty And then you would get two angry Nasutoceratop parents charging toward the predator to save their baby.

2nd=Ceratopsians from the Early Cretaceous
3rd=Ceratopsians from the Late Cretaceous

Technically the first time I’ve every herd of Nasutoceratops
0:22 Sounds like someone knows what kind of Dinosaur that Ceratopsian is.
That sound at 1:08 always makes me laugh
“Waddow wum”
When the father Nasutoceratops showed up he sure looked mad and it almost felt like he was saying "Stay away from my family, predator!"
Maybe just maybe the genes 🧬 of the animals has traits from a bull that makes him attack it’s target when it sees something red.
That sub-species name sounds like something a Vtuber’s chat would come up with
