My model came out with a 30t stock as a 11-46t cassette. 32t rings are usually on 12sp. I actually now have a 10-45t/30t round shimano 12sp drivetrain fitted. It mainly comes down to what sort of terrain u ride in and 30t -10t(rear) makes it 33 km/h on a 29er before you it cycles/max it out which is plenty and much prefer to have a bigger range in slower speeds. 😀 (ps: i wont be purchasing a oval ring again for number of issues like i mentioned in the video at the end but main one would be it wears out the derailleur cage sooner, constantly rubbing on the clutch assembly)
Probably not, it all depends on what cranks you are running. You need a 49mm chainline which is generally recommended a 6mm offset chainring(suggest you double check at your local bike shop when ordering), this is a 3mm offset chainring which is for boost 52mm chainline in my case its a 56mm chainline(superboost) but i have a wider set of cranks than standard boost. I would strongly suggest to take your bike to local shop when ordering as they will tell you straight away what offset you need.
2BORED thanks for the reply! I’m running non-boost which is 6mm offset. Also have Aeffect cranks but with a round Raceface NW chainring. So, one side of the oval is for boost and flip it for super boost?
@@carlogatmaitan5240 You would flip the chainring if you were to run a single speed/have a custom cassette gearing or clearance issues on frame etc. Its a actually a 0mm offset chainring for superboost if you run standard boost cranks.
What made you change from 32T to 30T chainring.

Can you use this chainring for non-boost setup?
