    Installed the GrayGuns straight trigger and HKParts enhanced magazine release in my HK P30. This concludes the upgrades to this gun... For now. I am very pleased with how the trigger, especially the single action, came out.

    I had SRT from Grayguns for about a year now, and your video motivated me to buy flat trigger. This return spring though… It is a little devil 😅
    Thanks for the tip, to try from the bottom. After 1 hour of fighting, flat trigger was installed, and P30 improved. Cheers bro.

      Glad this video was helpful for you! I ran the SRT kit for a while and held off on the flat trigger due to it making DA "heavier." Glad I finally bought it and installed it though! And yes, the trigger return spring sucks. Worst one I have had to do. Thanks for watching!

    I'm a LEO and my life depends on my weapon. I've carried my Hk P30 for a year now and i love it. i upgraded P30 with a grayguns SRT and flat trigger and it's a beast. The more i shoot it , the more i love it. The P30 trigger is crap straight out of the box even the LEM trigger isn't all that good either.

      I love my P30 as well. They are so reliable and proven. The ergonomics are great. And I agree, the factory trigger is pretty shit. But with some parts and attention it can be pretty decent and the rest of the platform is well sorted!

    Would love that mag extension, but scared id have to buy new holsters haha

      I actually found I didnt like the mag extension. If I used my thumb to release it like I would a typical button, the extra length on the lever hit my middle finger knuckle on the other side. Using trigger finger was better. Cant comment on holster compatability, sorry, I always throw a light on it and use a blackhawk omnivore that clips onto the light.

    I didn’t hear if you put a lighter trigger return spring in but if not I’d recommend that as that was a noticeable difference. Also I’d highly recommend spending the money on the special pliers. I did the trigger return spring on 2 of my HKs before I got a pair and it made it so much easier.
    The trigger return spring, along with the light hammer spring, light firing pin block spring, and nickel plated sear spring, all made it so much better. I don’t even have the short reset kit yet and those were enough to make the gun way more accurate. I plan on adding that and the flat trigger very soon, as well as sending it in to Langdon tactical. The P30 platform is a close contender to my beretta 92

      @dltz  Před rokem +1

      The trigger return spring is factory. Based on my research it is already the lightest factory option as the wire has a round profile, not a square profile like the medium or heavy weight trigger return springs. I also do not care for light trigger return springs as it affects the positivity of the reset. The trigger return spring that came with the gun was to my liking so I left it.
      The factory pliers are $139 on HKPart.net. I cannot justify spending that money for the one time I will use them on my one HK pistol. I would rater buy a cheap pair and modify them anyways. Even without them I was able to get the trigger return spring installed in about 15 minutes with a few curse words.
      I have the lighter hammer spring, nickel sear spring, and the lightened firing pin block spring that comes with the GrayGuns short reset kit. The flat trigger really helped too I would recommend it along with the short reset kit! The polishing of the trigger components that I did also made a big difference (that is shown in my other video on this gun). The trigger on the gun is very good now.
      I have the Langdon Tactical trigger job in a bag kit in my Beretta 92X and it blows this gun out of the water and I would highly recommend it. My 92X now has one of the best single action triggers I have felt (I have a video on that as well). The factory SA trigger pull on my 92X was better than the improved SA on my P30 in my opinion.

      @@dltz you’re looking at the wrong pliers. I got them for less than $20 on hkparts. Look at the thinner black handle ones. Not the red ones

    • @dltz

      @@timewing4611 Well would ya look at that! If I had seen them I would have got them. Bastards didn't list em in any of the pistol part sections I was looking at. Only the expensive red handled ones! Trying to get your money. Thanks for pointing that out!!

      After running it for a while I found I like the factory mag release better anyways.

    • @jaholland42
      @jaholland42 Před 25 dny

      @@dltz agreed. The only thing I have done that is consistent, is to take the factory release, adding a polymer glue to build up the edges and then add some grit to build up the top. But that is specifically for competition. Will not fit a phlster holster for concealment.

    Does DA get any better or worse at the range?

      How does the DA trigger pull feel when shooting it?

    • @dltz
      @dltz  Před 5 měsíci

      @@mrmcbeth It feels okay. Its smooth and a bit lighter than stock due to the other trigger work I have done. But between the factory curved trigger and the flat one, the curved one feels a little lighter. Its all due to that reduction in mechanincal advantage with the flat one because the angle crowds my finger up toward the top of it. But I still think the increase in SA performance is worth it.

      @@dltz That's cool. I think I'm going to switch back to HK for my carry gun. I'm carrying a Hellcat at the moment. I've been too rough on it. My old P30sk was always tough as nails. Your videos are helpful. Thanks.
