    I have a Flashspeed 1500, in fact the only unit of this type that I have. Mainly purchased to run my home office during power outages, and camping/fishing situations when shore power is not available. So far it has performed flawlessly. I think a lot of people buy these types of products and think they can run their homes on it. They are not built for that, they are built for relativity small loads. If you run a larger load you not going to run it for long. If you want something to run larger loads, buy an appropriate sized system. My extra battery discharges first as it should. The main discharges as it should. UPS works as it should. Here in TX, we just got power restored this morning at 5 am, after 4 days of no power due to storms and a Tornado. Between a small generator and this Flashspeed 1500, allowed me to keep all of our devices charged, run my CPAP, and ran my home office. I was able to recharge the unit via an inverter/generator. The generator we have is small, so, this unit offset what I needed.

    Hi Minute Man Prep! Thank you for your detailed review on the VTOMAN FlashSpeed 1500. Just a suggestion: It would be nice for future reviews if you could do a AC Inverter and DC Idle test with no load connected to see what the parasitic draw would be if left on and idle for 10-12 hrs to see how much of the battery capacity is lost. Just a suggestion but would be great to know. Thanks again!

    Great review! Appreciate your honesty. It should be noted that the extra battery does not work as advertised in the manual. Per the manual it would auto switch over once the extra battery is depleted, however this is not the case as confirmed by Vtoman in their email response. Once the extra battery is depleted the unit will shut off and the extra must be unplugged and the main unit turned back on, or the to use the power of the main unit first and then plug in the extra battery once the main unit is low. Not an ideal situation and should be noted on their website. I will be returning mine.

    Just saw a advertisement on new Blueitti 200L supposedly a higher faster solar input then the max200 that I have. If you ever get a chance to check it out, would appreciate. Thanks again for all your honest product reviews.

    Of note: The UPS feature will auto-shut off in 12 hrs. no matter the load applied, as confirmed by VTOMAN customer support. To me, this unit is falsely advertising the UPS functionality

    I am with you I don't get these company's cheeping out on the mppt solar charger. That's why I bought my pecrons they get the solar charging aspect a lot of these companies focus on wall charging. Which is great but 99% of the time I don't use it.

    Hi Ben how are you? I kinda need help with a few things i hope you can help. I am new to solar and power station etc.. so i just ordered a EcoFlow Delta 2 max portable station i only got the station cause it’s all i can afford for now i can get the extra batteries later on well thats the plan. So i wanted to know what solar panels can i use for this power station?? And note i would prefer to get the flexible solar panels like the ones they have at Renogy I don’t know if they are compatible?? Also do i need to purchase wires to connect the power station to the solar panels and which ones? And what else do you recommend i get. I have another question for you but i will ask on another occasion. thank you so much for all your videos they are super informative.

      You can use up to 12 Flexx 100 panels: poweredportablesolar.com/product/flexx-100-solar-panel/.
      There are two solar input ports on the EFD2M. You need two XT60i to MC4 adapters, not sure if your EFD2M came with them.
      For the solar panels, you'll do a 3S2P configuration on each solar input port. That means 2 groups of panels, in each group you'll wire 3 panels together. So you'll need the following:
      12x 100w solar panels: poweredportablesolar.com/product/flexx-100-solar-panel/
      2x 2 to 1 branch connector: poweredportablesolar.com/product/2-way-pv-connector-branch-connector/
      2x 100ft solar cable: poweredportablesolar.com/product/100ft-pv-connector-cable/
      2x 15ft extension cable: poweredportablesolar.com/product/15ft-pv-connector-cable/
      With that you'll be completely set to max out the solar input and charge quickly while still be very mobile and have lightweight solar panels. Info@PoweredPortableSolar.com.

    Ben is it feasible to offset grid power with ex. Apollo or Titan to power high draw power items like refrigerator, HVAC ?

    • @minutemanprep
      @minutemanprep  Před 7 měsíci

      Yes. I have been doing that for over a year now at my house with ease. The simplest option is get an Apollo kit from poweredportablesolar.com/ based on what you want to offset. I can help with that too if you need. info@poweredportablesolar.com. Then run your appliances directly off of the Apollo every day and then you'll reduce your monthly bill.

    bought this and when i turn it on in the morning it charges by solar up to 100 percent and im using it as the day goes by and the capacity goes down but the solar never recharges it again, i have to turn it off and on again and it will begin to charge with solar. anyone have this problem?

  • @xFourTwenty117
    @xFourTwenty117 Před 26 dny

    I have a separate mppt charger, it's not officially supported but could you just get an EC5 connector, plug it in to the "battery" port and have the external mppt charger directly charge the internal battery?

    • @xFourTwenty117
      @xFourTwenty117 Před 26 dny

      Also, you could possibly add an aftermarket lifepo4 battery with the appropriate EC5 connector to add capacity at a very cheap price, then connect an mppt charger to that battery.

    Hello. I am doing my homework on power stations. Want to run an evaporator cooler for up to 10 hours at 120w. This purchase would be emergency cooling / power outages - Florida storms -newborn baby in the family. Not sure I can pick up more than 40 lbs. That's kind of heavy to move around (for a mature lady). The solar attribute is a bonus - Sunshine state. The quick wall charge (approx. 1 hour) has my attention. Is there another product with that fast wall charge feature? This model has the incredible 0 to 100% - 1 hour turn around. I have the same. Is it normal that fans start even with the smallest of energy consumption? I connected to AC an electric blanket to the minimum and it consumes around 20W. The fans start and never shut. They are so loud all night.

    Would not recommend this one at all. Bought it in late July or early august and have been testing various products to plug in. Small vacuum and usb fans and lights. It has QUIT. The week before I go full time vanlife. So I’m stuck without a power station and no help from VTOMAN AT ALL!! Do not buy this one.
