1) He was a coward
2) He was a horrible guy in his 1st marriage
3) 1st wife wasn't interested in making an effort in repairing the marriage
4) He didn't have the patience to give 1st wife space to process and possibly come around to the idea of her part in making the marriage work
5) He still doesn't take 100% accountability for the demise of his 1st marriage. "Adrienne isn't responsible for the break-up of my marriage. Someone else is responsible for that". What??

We get to “see” Israel and how God redeemed him. I pray the first wife has also been redeemed by God as well and not dealing with trauma caused by Israel’s actions while they were married ❤️. Trouble doesn’t last but trauma does. I don’t like to hear about a “come up” because of a new woman, the previous wife was fearfully and wonderfully made as well, God created her, there shouldn’t be a comparison. Adrienne is no better of a wife for Israel than his first wife was, he was in love with the first wife as well and decided to let his flesh win likely due to the fame that happened and what comes along with that. Its always two sides to a story and of course alot of people tend to try to make the other person look like they are the bad sour grape but in all reality their stunned growth in God our Father causes pain to and on others because they tend to act out of flesh and not of faith but when your not healed you tend to bleed on others. WOW!!! Seems as if this happened to y'all personally. They both suffered and when someone steps outside of a marriage it generally means there's something missing. The problem was he was trying to live for everyone instead of being honest with himself and God. Knowing the storey changes nothing. His ex wife is better for it because she no longer has to also pretend to be happily married to please others. She's not about the limelight so that definitely is an issue and a redflag if they did council. If you listened close to Israel, he told you in the beginning that he was cheating on his first wife. He said there was some else (not Adrienne). He also admitted that he was to blame for some things. It sounds like his divorce was not biblical. I cannot say I blame the church for their reaction. There is a higher standard for God's children and especially those in ministry. We shouldn't throw him away, but he should definitely sit out for a while, repent, regroup, and be restored. We can't as a church let men in ministry or women who are unfaithful in marriage continue on in ministry like it's nothing. Wrong, he has 7 kids. He has a son he had when he was 20 years old - his son is about 34 years old. Then he met and married Meleasa (his first wife) and had 3 kids with her. He cheated on Meleasa with DeVawn Moreno and had 2 sons with her. Then he married Adrienne Bailon and they have a son. If you do the math, he has a total of 7 kids - 1+3+2+1= 7. Also, his eldest son, the 34yo, has 2 kids with his wife, so Israel is a grandfather of 2.

I’m all for forgiveness, redemption and grace, especially when there is a repentant and contrite heart. However, I didn’t hear any love for the Word of God. Is our Christianity, our obedience, based off of feelings/experience or driven by loving Him and His word? There is no “faking it till you make it”. God is not mocked and He knows the motives of our hearts. He will expose us in those situations for the sake of His glory and our good. Christ has preeminence in ALL things…..that includes my marriage, my experiences and what I think I need to be happy or to “love myself”.

The way he spoke about his first wife was so dishonorable. Never mind the fact that he cheated on her multiple times. Considering that truth, this is an extremely toxic narrative. What he should have done is given her the respect she is due as the mother of his children. I don’t like the way he handled this interview at all. Between Melessa, and Clarence McClendon's wife Tamara, and numerous others we see what the Titus 2:4 woman looks like. Their suffering and public humiliation on this side of heaven will be rewarded in eternity. ❤
Amen! One can’t marry another while their covenant spouse is alive according to scripture. Very few teach this truth, when it is such a need because divorce rates are rising daily. 🙏🏾
Isreal is just making an excuse for falling for a younger woman. He lusted after Adrianne and all the other women he had affairs with. As Smokie Robinson said " as you get older you realize it wasn't anything your mate did or didn't do, it's just you fell for another.

My testimony is almost the same, except my husband chose his baby mother over us(me & our 2 kids). But God truly blessed him and my new marriage! I never thought that he and I would be remarried and our children (6 combined) play and celebrate together. The wounds were turned into a gift☺️

Sadly, Melessa & Adrienne's daughter Moriah also divorced her 1st husband without biblical grounds. He was crushed, but opted to move forward with his life and ministry.
I hope at some point your ex husband showed some responsibility for his actions of cheating. A Believer has to forgive no matter what but a cheater SHOULD take responsibility. Israel has not. He’s also backhanded trashing his first wife. He doesn’t mention what SHE endured of his extra marital affairs and TWO children outside of their marriage. Israel has not taken responsibility for those actions.
I listened to almost the whole thing and it makes me think of a person who is trying so hard to convince someone they’re SO ULTRA happy; they are desperately miserable. I could be wrong about that. The rest? Nope.

Only God knows the truth 20 years of marriage and children. Gods word never change we can only divorce for one reason adultery nothing else if the person is intentionally hurting you in adultery it’s then your choice to either stay in the marriage or walk away and let the person go .

I am a divorcee and a child of God and i lead worship. I fully understand when marriages break down and how people's perception of you change...fast forward..i am in a new relationship and super happy and planning on getting married.. however I am aware and it has been said to me by a couple of church ladies who have said..i don't believe in divorce and re marriage!! Not sure what I am supposed to so with that...
Trust God and lean on his own understanding never stay somewhere where it no longer serves you

Israel cheated on his first wife and had 2 children with a mistress while they were married. I feel bad for her and I think it is so sad for the Christian community to see to men who say they love God who don’t promote Godly character but instead self gratification over pleasing God.
Here is the thing. Divorce is not acceptable. There is ministries geared to help those going through it. My concern with public discussion regarding this issue must be delicate. Divorce should not be promoted nor explored. It has its place and is devastating not only to the man and woman in the union but to the community that surround them. We need to remember that.
I never idolize man. Yes, they are human, even those who love God. And we are not to judge, ever.
There is life after divorce. I am glad that Israel is continuing to do the work. Thank you for sharing your story. Trust me it's helping folks out here & for folks who have gone through a similar situation. Good to know we are not alone. 💜

The thing that got me most is the fact that he had peace when He asked God about Adrienne. Not condemnation. He was concerned about what he, Adrienne and God felt about the situation and no one else! These interviews are hope-filled relevant spiritual yet humanizing! Love it
