Welcome back to Explore Rigs! In this episode we run through the latest build from the team at ‪@MAXTRAX_HQ‬ . The 'Toyzuki' is a world first aftermarket single cab converted Suzuki Jimny JB74. With the help of many Australian 4WD accessory manufacturers, this concept became a reality in March 2023. As JB74 owner, I can only imagine how slow this poor little thing is.

Yeah exactly. I measured my manual Jimny's 0-100km/h and I've made it 4sec slower than stock by only relatively common aftermarket accessories like a 2" lift, bullbar and winch, 235/75r15 A/T tyres and a small compressor for diff lockers.
I'd hate to think how much slower that Jimny is with all those extra accessories 😂 It would need a turbo or supercharger. I'm waiting for my warranty to run out until i boost mine.

@PunzL expecting? Nope. But being a new generation model nobody knows longer term reliability of, if something were to happen I'd want it fixed free under warranty rather than it being void because I boosted it too soon.

It’s definitely not the world’s first chopped Jimny!
In New Zealand we have been able to buy Jimny’s chopped into Ute’s for the last decade from most Suzuki dealers with full factory warranty etc.

I'm guessing with all the extra weight and taller tyres this Jimny is really going to struggle with the standard engine and fuel consumption is probably going to increase as well. Chassis looks flimsy but the finished build looks okay.
