- The North Shore of Oahu in Hawaii is the dream destination for any surfer. That's where the most famous breaks are located, like Waimea, Banzai Pipeline, and Sunset beach. The main town on the North Shore is Haleiwa, it's where you go eat. That's exactly how we began the day trip, with an acai bowl and a Hawaiian loco moco.
We then headed to the beaches with hopes to see huge waves, but we were already out of the season, in March. Still very fun to see some surf at Pipeline.
This video starts in Hilo, on the Big Island, from where we fly to Honolulu, on Oahu. Yes, that was before we needed masks inside planes 😭

if you visit kauai, its good for beaches like poipu, kayaking up the river near hanalei, and hiking in waimea. then come back to the big island for a lome massage at hualalai, hiking near the volcano and kapaau, cooking class and learn the hula.

Thank you. Are you going to Oahu/Honolulu? You can get a car at the airport or downtown. You have to determine the cost of parking overnight, which is expensive at hotels, versus paying slightly higher price with pickup from downtown. In Honolulu we picked up from downtown when we needed the car.
The other islands, we picked up car a from the airport as that was most convenient
Other than that, we rented from multiple companies thru out the Hawaiin islands and they were all good. We based our decision on best price. They were all decent modern cars.

Hi Theophilus! Probably not in 2021, given that traveling internationally is still not recommended. But I'd love to go back to Africa. I've been 3 times to South Africa (before starting this channel, unfortunately), and I had amazing trips. I imagine how friendly everyone is in the other countries as well ❤

I love the way you pronounce Hawaii, the second non existent H, the double I, a bit like the English not pronouncing them at all, well if one speaks English from before Victorian middle classes started to change it, they thought it sounded posh. It was normal before not to pronounce an H at the beginning of a word like the French do or very softly almost imperceptibly and how the Normans spoke. The exception was and still is pronouncing WH as HW as in where and what as hwere and hwat. A very soft imperceptible H though.
