Keeping the inside edge as Dan recommends is key in achieving this trick. Relax and flatten the stand ski and you will slam into the snow with your shoulder very hard, risking a broken collar bone.

Be careful to try this on carvers, the back binding will pop out once you start pressing the nose into the snow. Do not lift the ski perfectly vertical behind you to avoid it accidentally falling over the wrong way once you press. (might injure your hip/knee). Really fun and easy trick for any intermediate skier, make sure you can do a parallel 360 on the slope first. Thanks for the great video!

I do a 180 toe drag which is very similar to this. Put your inside ski around your leg and let the tip touch the snow and you spin around, woo hoo.

If you get that foot a little to relaxed and it rolls to the outside edge. You're gonna have a bad day

hi, i am turning 36 this year.. have always been an avid skier.. just wondering if i will be able to master this skills at such a age.

You should be safe picking up this move, just remember to not let the ski that stays flat on the snow relax and roll to the outside edge. I still see old ballet skiers in there late 50s still doing this move

cool, am trying to get into some basic free style skiing - ollie, butters and refining my switch. Am just worried i might injury myself, after all age is catching up.

Hi. I‘m searching for a tutorial for a trick I saw a long time ago. Actually you ski and just before the „down“ of the hill, you do like you would lay down on the side, but because of the hill, you continue in a spin. It looks like you would hit the ground but your doing a spin.
