DIY Making Drawstring Bags, Cloth Pouches for Tarot Card Deck

- I decided that as I'm gifting a tarot deck to a friend I would make a cute little bag for that deck to live in and seeing as it's an easy project that doesn't need a lot of tools or experience I thought it would make a little "how-to" video for it for any other crafty, or would be crafty types who are looking for a nice relaxing thing to make.
To make this you need:
Fabric (I'm working with cotton, b/c it's what I had and it's easy to work with)
Ribbon or Cord of some kind
A safety pin
Normal pins (DANGER PIN)
Scissors
A rotary cutter and cutting mat (or chalk to draw out your shape)
and either a sewing machine (with needle and thread) or just a needle and thread if you're hand sewing this.

as a visual learner, the drawing really helped me. I make my own drawings along with tutorials but yours looked so much nicer
Thank you! They look amazing. I have some fabric and I decided to make little bags to my tarot cards, this video helped me a lot!
That’s excellent! I’m so glad it was helpful!

Aw, thank you!!! 😊
Wonderful, thank you.
♥️♥️♥️♥️ they look so cooooool
Rebecca Rahi they turned out pretty nifty! I’m really glad I had two different fabrics though, because as pretty as the Rose one is it’s REALLY hard to see what I’m doing some of the time.
When u put the the cords in how do u do that? Cause the openings are on the inside of the bag
I am planning on making a mat for my deck and putting a small bag of crystals in the bag as well. How would you do the measurements for it like that to give enough space for the mat and the crystals?
I’m so sorry, I missed this comment: I would measure the mat you have and then add about 15% to each measurement to allow for what is called ‘ease’. That’s ease should give the crystals enough space (unless they’re REALLY big crystals). I have a few little crystals in with my tarot decks, but the extra ease I built in means there’s enough room for them.
@@EmilySnee Thank you very much! I really love your video and love how informative it is!
😂😂😂 danger pin
Eh, it made sense to me at the time 🤣🤣
Very concise instructions. Are you by any chance a teacher? I know that's a personal question and I don't mean to be intrusive, it's just the way you speak reminds me of a person I know who is a teacher.
I am not a teacher! Although I do come from a long line of teachers (or rather, my grandmother was a teacher and almost everyone on my mum's side of the family is a teacher... so it must be in the blood 😊)
@@EmilySnee You can run, but you can't hide! Brilliant videos. Of course you are a teacher!
You went way to quickly on this...there is no need to rush...I had to rewind several times to capture your measurements and other stuff.otherwise great
You can change the playback speed.
As someone who naturally talks fast, it borders on painful sometimes to slow down and I actually make more mistakes when I do.
@@LynneTheDepressed thank you that helped 😊
