This tutorial explains how you can transfer POI's that you've marked on your Suunto watch (trail cam location, bedding areas, game trails, etc) onto Google Earth.
“Insanely difficult”? Its “copy-paste”! The only thing that would make it easier would be for google earth to have an “import coordinates from your Suunto watch” button😂
@@jstrat121 How many clicks does it take to download one point? A dozen? How about "Download all POIs at once with one click." I agree, downloading one point is no big deal, but what if you have 100? You'll be there for days. Compared to using a Garmin GPS device and I can export 1000 KML's with a click or two.
@@jstrat121 Also, it's almost easier to read the coordinate off the watch and create a point in Google Earth. Suunto has done NOTHING to allow you to create a KML. It's a workaround because Sunnto has no functionality for its users.
The move from a PC based program to an IOS or Android app has made it near impossible to download POI's or shot coords and bloody difficult to download tracks from the watch to something like Google earth. Love the watch, hate the supporting software....not intuitively smart at all, and just getting worse.
This is so insanely difficult, it shows that Suunto really hates its customers. Thanks for the video!
Karl Blattmann it takes a little getting used to. Once you get it figured out it’s not too tough!
