The best way to make the Glass curve is to start at the center and work your way to the outer edge gluing in small increments. Hope this helps. Works well for me so should have no worries it working for you. Tks for the review and look forward to the build.

The price is too expensive for me. $150+ for a modelkit is too much.
I think it has to do that it’s resin and made by a person and not a company in whole

Agree, thats a silly price for a model kit. If Tamiya or Hasegawa could maybe release something modern....... guess the licensing is the killer.

I have the same kit. I think you have to paint the Doors separatly, or else you can’t place the grilles anymore. In my case the Doors don’t fit so well, so I must do a lot off sanding, rilling etc. Can you please make a lot off video’s off the build, so I can learn how to do it. And please a lot off attention on the carbonfiber decalling. About the windows I was thinking off heating them in hot water and forming them like you do with PÉ.

Excelente Unboxing de este Alpha Modelo Mclaren 720S, solo nos faltaria verlo armado en su totalidad esperare a ver este video, mis respetos y saludos desde Venezuela.
With the clear windows I would use masking tape to hold it in place at the correct curvature and then use strong clear glue to tack it in place. I don't think you would need to glue all the way around, just a blob of glue at the corners, sides and top and bottom. If the non-glued portions pop up, just tape it back down at the points where you have already put blobs of glue (when dried) and 'tack' again where there isn't glue. Time consuming, but hopefully would give a good finish.

For the clear parts. Can't you use some molding clay or something similar thats easy to conform to the shape you need, essentially making a mold in a way, Let it harden then use a hair dryer/heat gun to shape the part?
That was kind of my thought as well, for the pillar windows however, I would suggest using a hobby knife handle as it would be the best shape.

I'd much rather build a plastic kit that has more parts to assemble. This was a very in depth review, but the price of resin kits have always kept me away.

I have a question but i didnt know how to contact u, but my question was: if you're gonna use compound to remove the scratches after you used sanding sticks to get rid of some dusts, do you need to do that after bringing down a diamond clear coat or before? Thanks in advance
older cars used to have flat clear parts, some do still today as based in older models

I think 150 is too much for a kit with windows that still need bending. too big a risk in my eyes. also looks like the side windows will just be straight which would look weird I think. curious to see how you do that specific part. might order anyway if you make it look easy :)

$150 is just too much for what you get out of the kit. Strangely if Alpha just took a few more steps namely, included an engine and/or chassis, improved the under carriage detail and molded the glass correctly, I bet they would easily triple their sales. The front and rear suspensions are very often the coolest part of an entire Tamiya, Aoshima, or Fujimi build. I'd have my $150 out tomorrow if those things were included ad I bet thousands of other modelers would too.
