It may sound crazy, but we've never been in Kyoto. We are from Argentina and we feel a strong connection with the traditional japanese culture. So we get our japanese inspiration from CZcams videos, japanese musicians, blogs, books and pictures posted by locals and tourists.
We love Kyoto and we want to get there! We want to visit the place that inspired so many songs to us for more than ten years.
    And you can help us.
All donations will be destinated to our first (and maybe only?) trip to Japan. Once there, we want to play our music but we also will be recording soundscapes, making video footages and taking pictures for our future releases. All that material will be freely available for download with a Creative Commons License.
Be part of our dream. Your name will be put in a list of contributors, and that list will be stored in a sacred place at Kyoto when we get there. Every contribution will get us closer to our destination. Thank you!

@Andrew Clock Listen to it with your emotions while your are doing something else and you'll notice the difference, the specialness from whatever else there is. I bought the VFX and I guess I want the TS-10 also, but I have enough beautiful sounds. If you want to buy it, go for it. Yes, 500/12 months in a year = X dollars of enjoyment every month. Think about that.

@gridsleep True, with the exp-3 card I program some crazy omnisphere level patches but I have to use midiquest, can't do it from the front panel. I also have a fizmo and the rack doesnt have resonant filters, totally unique arpeggiator or the cool preset insert fx and that makes the Fizmo a unique beast and the Mr incapable of emulating it even though they use such similar synth engines.

They live on as long as you include their sounds in your music. Preserve them for future humanity well after we are all gone 50-100 years down the road. For me, it's now 50 or less. Living life large and enjoying it! Those who are privileged to create music also have a great chance, a great great opportunity to share it, and it is once in a lifetime. Some of the sounds I'm hearing are pretty epic... movie like but not over top movie like.

I had a SQ-80 and it wall cool, but the clicking drove me crazy. I wish I still had it, but now I would rather get a TS-10 or 12. I had a fizmo and a VFX. Both were awesome. The fizmo had a midi problem and that's why I got rid of it, and I regret giving the VFX to my stupid shit friend that left it in a basement and it got flooded. but they all had unbelievable sounds that always cut through the mix . I will get another dammmmit!!

    I own 2x TS 10, 1x Ts 12, 2x ASR! I love them no modern keyboards can
beat these keys!! believe me I have tried different kinds of new
Keyboards, ended up returning or selling them away! ensonqs are Glued
with me for the rest of my live that's it
Midi Controls are 10/10 Volume Expression/Sustain pedal/ 2 switch midi
inputs can be used for 4 too with double pedals) / midi command
    assignable buttons 1 to 10 each have 6 buttons/ pitchband/modwheel/ 2
    patch midi buttons/velocity curves/Aftertouch sensitivity !
keybeds are the best 10/10 velocity/Aftertouch are the best I have used
from all the keyboards around the world, excluding the Kurzweill 2500,
    2600 series!
thickness of the sound are 10/10
and the keyboards made in early 1990 aren't they impressive ? hell yessss

Love the demo, and I so desperately wanted this board. Had an Ensoniq SD-1 back in 1991. So good, and I loved the programming and the sequencer. But the TS was a step up. I thought this board easily competed with the Kurzweil K2000, which might have been more expandable, but most of that expansion technology went out of style fast.

    • @MultiSynthfreak
      @MultiSynthfreak Před 8 lety +5

+Jon Willis Hi, Mr Willis, ..my opinion about this keyboard is , THAT IS FOR MY TASTE BETTER SOUNDING than Kurzweil K2000,..i `ve had K2000,..GemS2,Emax HD,and Ensoniq Vfx .. in that period - workstations in the early `90 s ,..yeah..also Korg T3,Roland D50, and similar Rolands in my hands ..Even properly programmed, Ensoniq VFX is much more thick and interesting for listening, than K2000.. who is a little bit boring after some time.
I love all Ensoniqs.. i `ve had also Mirage Esq1, vfx , eps 16+..and those have some special "spice" what cannot be replaced...i don`t have TS 10, but some day i will buy this keyboard..FOR SURE! .. all of those , modern...based on PC.. a la Phantom, Tyros, ,Kronos, and similar, don`t have that character. All the best from Serbia
