Bear Glacier kayaking with Liquid Adventures

Kayaking in the Bear Glacier Lagoon was yet another highlights of our Alaska trip. We did this guided excursion with Liquid Adventures in Seward. The trip began in their office where we put on dry suits for protection against freezing water. Then we boarded their custom-built jet boat for a 45 minute journey from Seward to the glacier lagoon. After a bumpy and scintillating ride through the resurrection bay we entered into the calm water of Bear Glacier Lagoon. Our guides gave us a quick kayak paddling lesson, checked our dry suits and PFDs, and we were ready to hit the water. After paddling for about an hour, we took a snacks break on shore. The hot chocolate and brownie were out of the world! It was heavily clouded the entire time and also rained intermittently. Overall, it was an experience of lifetime and we’d love to go back there again, hopefully on a better weather condition.
