- YC Onion Pineta may be the best monopod for gimbal. It carbon fiber construction makes it a heavy duty monopod that can hold up a camera setup 77 inches, making it the longest monopod I have ever used.

So thankful to see Se back on attack with new installment of vid excellence! Hope family is doing great to, brother. Gamsahamnida! 💛🇰🇷
Gamsahamnida Glen! Also so thankful to be back and see your comment. Family is doing well. Hope you are doing well!
this is a great review as it talks about putting gimbal on monopod. My setup has - dji gimball on manfrotto monopod. Figured out the manfrotto has built in bushing from 3/8 to 1/4. Also had bought zhiyun transmount quick release to switch from monopod to dji legs. Now the real test would be stability of the setup. But I see the future is looking bright with this new yc-onion monopod.
Excellent work, as per usual!
Evan! Hey thanks man! Means a lot you stopped by! 🙏
Nice video!!! Welcome back
Thanks brother! Great to be back!
I love your works. Keep posting my friend
Thank you! I’ll keep going! 🙏
Nice brother! Good to see you back
Thanks man! Great to be back!
Now that is fancy! Recently contemplated the idea of using a monopod just to shoot broll for my product shots for my channel. Just makes things a little faster.
Haha thanks for watching Mike! Monopod for me is part of the setup trio: tripod, gimbal, and monopod. I don’t always use them but I can always count on using one of them for the next shoot.
Version two completes the ultimate monopod journey. Comes out this summer baby!
Excellent video! 🔥 🔥 🔥
Ivan!! Hey thanks buddy!
This is kinda cool. The way it extends is the most unique feature. Does the ball head foot have a positive center lock?
There he is. 🎉
😁🤙🤜
Great video. Have you seen the Ifootage mono pods? They have a lot of the features that you’re looking for.
The iFootage base feet are a great design, with the foot-pedal locking mechanism. The rest of the iFootage monopod isn't as sturdy as the Sirui P-424SR.
Sending mine back and I'll probably get this YC Onion monopod instead.
First!!!! He is back baby!!!!
And so is this guy being first on my channel! Haha thanks Paul!
@@SePark lol 😂
yo. that screw pressing down to 1/4" has been around for a long time.
How is it for free standing with a heavy zoom lens? I have an old p-sr series sirui monopod, but looking to possibly change. However The legs on the sirui allow free standing and I'm wondering if therese legs are actually shorter than those. the release lever would really come in handy.
Hi Patrick, the leg length is actually almost same as the Sirui one. Heavier base on YC Onion does help support the camera. However it's hard to get the monopod to stand up exactly at 90 degrees. I would need a level. Whereas the Sirui one, if you were on a flat surface, it would at least stand perpendicular automatically. That's the tradeoff, but basically they are about the same. You must have higher risk tolerance than me. Even with the Sirui monopod, I would have to stand within arm reach to have it free standing with my zoom lens especially outdoors. LOL
@@SePark I have long legs, so I can move around pretty quickly haha. I assure you neither camera is ever that far away.
The best quick release for the gimbal and monopod is Leofoto QS. At least for me.
Hi Se,
Welcome back!
The name: YC Mono uncircumcised! 😂
On serious note, the feet seems short as I’ve had the iFootage Cobra 2 mono 4yrs ago and it was also a weak point.
Did you feel this was the case?
Haha thanks! Great to be back! The feet is decent sized. Same as Sirui as I can tell but the contact surface is larger. Also much heavier so it didn’t feel insecure. Definitely not big enough once you put the extension rod on. The problem is getting the monopod to stand exactly at 90 degrees as you saw me fail 😆. So it’s it is off by couple degrees, it can get wobbly by itself standing.
Foreskin tech be craazzzy haha
Haha, if there is no name for it yet, then we shall call it that... LOL
Can you tell me budget
"I am not gona describe what that does look like..." ;-) :-)
Ifootage was the first to do all of this 5 years ago, No new thing 🙄🤔
bro the foreskin part got me hahahahha dead.
Haha nothing like coming back to the channel and having to edit that part in. 😂😂😂
7:17 😂
I think you kind of gave it away at the beginning when you said you hadn't used your monopod in a while. I haven't used mine in years, neither have I seen anyone use one for years.
7:31 😂
You made it that far! Yeh I try to just keep recording no matter what I say. Haha thanks man!
Foreskin. 😂😂😂.
🙌🏽🫢👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🛻🪄💯 Se!! That 1/4 spring adapter is so cool! My iFootage Cobra v1 has has had that same system for years and I was equally amazed when I first saw it lol! Also, I’ve been on a social media break for over 3 years now. You deserve a break whenever you want/need it brotha 🥹🙏🏽🙏🏽 Cheers!!
Joseph!!! So iFootage best them to it?!? Break is amazing. Good for you dude! Gotta also focus on the fam. Thanks for watching and greeting on my first video back. Always great to see your comments! 🙏🤜
