- A piece of British history with a film about emergency landing rescue and safety precautions.
A great video featuring Desmond Llewelyn (best known for his role as Q in 17 of the James Bond films from 1963 to 1999).

That was great....really enjoyed it!....Another piece of historical footage for us nerdies to watch.
Thanks for sharing.
Q from James Bond in an earlier job😀
A decorated pilot with what looks like a DFC ribbon.
Benny is an absolute legend! I hope there's a Benny statue in the MB HQ.
OMG it is Q!
I’m all but certain that the RAF officer at 6:01 is Desmond Llewelyn, aka ‘Q’ of many of the ‘James Bond 007’ films. If not, this man is Q’s doppelgänger. That face and voice is almost immistakeable. 🫡🇬🇧
And how i thought I’d be the first to have noticed Q is hilarious. I’ll read next time. Maybe. 🤣
6:10 Q before he was recruited into MI6!
"Don't think I can make it, short of gravy".....100% British.....
Carry on Q!
The two Meteors were converted to a sort of T7 which MB christened a Mk 7.5.
Let us trust that civilian authorities are still trained to respect aircraft ejection seats even in todays climate
Since when did they have officers on crash fire duty in the RAF. It was good to see though.
Is it possible to get the neck tie _without_ going on the roller coaster ride?
_asking for a friend_
Unfortunately, no.
Hi
Is possible to have either an electronic or DVD copy of this film to add to our heritage collection here at the tower at West Raynham?
It would be very much appreciated and it would be great to show to visitors here.

Hey Jon. All you need is the video URL, and you can download the whole thing using a "youtube to mp4" website.
@@SoundEffectsFactory cheers, all done.
Thanks from Generation X.😀
Does Martin-Baker still have a facility in Northern Ireland?
Yes, Langford Lodge
@@MartinBakerUK I don't think they'll be giving it up anytime soon either as it's too productive to their testing.
What is the village at 52 seconds..? I wonder if the fire station is still there...?
I believe it's Denham Village, not 100% sure though.
@@MartinBakerUK I'll do some googling via street view.....Turns out theres two....Denham Norfolk or Martin Bakers Denham....?
@@MartinBakerUK it has to be somewhere local to RAF West Raynham. That's where the tower and fire section were.
How do we know? We know every square inch, we've been renovating it for 3 and a half years so far!
I have been struggling to identify the village so far.
I think the fire brigade is at Mildenhall Suffolk. The road that it roars off to is Police Station Square, I lived in the cottage next to the shop back in the 60s.
@@michaelmatthews4369 Yes it is, found it...
