- Today we take a closer look at the 03 terminator cobra mustang and get the engine pulled! We also take it to get a full detail and paint correction at Chase Perfection Auto Detail since it was left abandoned. I have wanted a 2003/4 Cobra since High School. It's the one Mustang that always interested me. Luckily one just popped up on Facebook marketplace.. you know I had to get it! We also figure out if this beast will give us a first start up. It isn't in great shape as of now.. actually it's really bad. However, this abandoned cobra mustang will get a full rebuild and bring this supercharged snake back to life! Already have tons of big name parts from Manley and UPR on the way!
Part 1 • Buying a BARNFIND 03 T...

Never settle for less than exactly what you truly want. I traveled 15 hours from home to pick up my DREAM 06 5.9 mega cab dodge ram 3500 Single Rear Wheel 4wd Laramie loaded sunroof heated leather seats tan leather interior from factory truck. Wouldn’t even believe me if I told you what I paid for it LOL I paid for the truck with a clean title no issues running driving ac heat everything works on it only for half of what the engine is worth alone!!! Deals are out there. You HAVE to be willing to travel and look in every state possible to find what you want. Whatever you want for the price you want to pay or cheaper it out there in the US. You just have to travel for it brother 🫡
@TreeFeller4Life it worked out because the s550 Bullitt is such a good car I couldn't imagine selling it. But I am going to buy myself a terminator to e joy as well.

I graduated in 02 these were king of the streets back in the early mid 2000s. All the big dogs on the street had Whipple blowers on them back in the day. I say put one of them on it.

I have an 05 gt that lost oil pressure then told knock knock jokes coming home from work. Im about 2 days from pulling the motor for a turbo set up, sick vid!

I can tell you from owning my 03' Terminator the first thing yoh want to do after the motor is finished is upgrade the rear with a Detroit Locker True Trac, best mod I ever made! Mind was banging down 600 whp with a ported Eaton. Always wanted to go 2.9 Whipple, but never had the chance. Its a bad ass whip! Enjoy

i have my dads 2003 cobra with 22k og miles he bought new and gifted it to me for my bday. Only take it out wash it and put it back in its place. Awsome channel new sub

If you’re determined to keep the Eaton on it you could buy a stage 8 ported Eaton or have jokers port yours and it will make mid 600’s

Also idk how far into the short block you are but up the Romeo iron block is toast you could get a teksid aluminum block they ran in the Mach 1’s and some other stuff they are just as strong and you save a few hundred pounds at the end. Also go with cams before the motor goes back in, they don’t net you much power like a ls does but it sounds so good you will regret not doing it like I did.

Awesome job guys and thank you for sharing this ledgen of a true muscle car, makes me appreciate my 03 even more being in awesome shape, a shadow grey color, borla stinger cat back and JLT cold air and upgrade shifter are only mods with 22,000 original miles, love mine will always keep it and pass down to my son n law and grandsons !

That car was under water. Not a head gasket or intentional pour something it. It was flooded and the previous owner knew that. I think he tried to screw you over but didn’t know you had the resources to bring it back

@@JrodsGarage your not getting the point I know these cars you can have 20 to 30grand in no time in these cars in no time if they need a everything an more if you can't so the work your self my point go out an buy one all original an not all fuked up an low miles for anywhere from 35 grand to 40 grand an nice an yal there out there instead of messing with junk but if your into rebuilding the car an don't care then go the other rout putting into more than what a nice stock terminator cost theres a real nice black convertable terminator car with 39 thousand miles on the clock up the road from me I've looked at for37 thousand an it only needs the back valance painted he said a ford dealer ness it up you always ahead to get these cars done I know I've owned one an an just to tell you a little something when you get a terminator with over 20 thousand miles unless that car has been babyed your gonna put in a new clutch so take off another 3 to 4 grand when you buy these cars like I said that yellow car ain't worth more then 6 or 7 grand or a parts car .
12k I agree. Although its a cheap cobra its going to take a lot to get it going. Would of been way better off buying one already running. Also the zinc yellow is one of the least desirable and always brings less money. Its not a Mystichrome or sonic blue.
@@motofarmmx2430 don't get me wrong when your young an you really want to get the car an your really into doing all work the work acturely like it then yal an another point for me when I went looking for a terminator 10 years ago boy oh boy I couldn't find one to suit me they were always so messed with an some were if you would believe this had to much power I'm a guy that was looking for an all stock 100% factory low mile terminator an I had just retired an had money I've saved an also my profit sharing to from the company I worked for an I finally gave up on terminators then about my neighbor came over an said there's an 01 cobra convertable cobra in the paper an he said I know that you want a terminator but I called the guy an he said you need to go an see it so we went to see it an this is really true we get over to where the 01 cobra is an the guy comes out an gos back in an raises the guarge door an wow there sits a brand new looking orange terminator an next to it was an01 mineral gray convertable cobra look like it was never on the he road I mean this car was looks to kill I asked about his terminator never for sale he said so he gets in the 01 cobra an backs it out an that car sounded as good as any car or terminator he gets out an Wana take it for a ride I get in an I look at the odometer an I said don't want this car it's turned over an he says no that 8.500 miles is the true an documented milage I couldn't believe it we jump in an go around the block an get on the highway an I run it up to 110 with no problem get back an I knew I wanted this car bad he was asking 21.500 and I would of gave him 25.000 no questions any way I ended up getting it for 19.000 an as of today it has 15.000 miles on it an yes all stock an spot less yal I know should of water for a terminator to show up but couldn't find one to suite me an I'm not sorry one minute for getting this and I wouldn't take 30.000for today because I know it's almost impossible to find a car like this an it's so low milage you could put a supercharger on an it would hold it pretty good but that ain't gonna happen I'm an all stock person an don't Wana mess this car up I'd just get a terminator but in not gonna go through that again any way sometimes your better off doing what you did buy the yellow car like you did an make it like you want after all look what I went through trying to find a terminator that I want an never did so that's why I settled for the 01 but this car had to be bought with the low low milage an never messed with an looks oh the car was signed by jack roush on the glove box I know I'm an all stock person but I can make an exception on him.
Youre not going to find a complete 03 04 cobra for 7,000 running or not.
