I'm a souls fan and massively prefer the souls series over skyrim but the thought of the dragonborn pausing to heal is hilarious.

1) Erase them from existence completely. Soul, mind, and body altogether.
Or
2) Break their spirit by constantly kicking their asses till they lose the will to keep on fighting. AKA rage quitting like any good ol' video game player would.
Not really it should be the other way around because hollows/ the chosen undead are so much more skilled and they fight on par with gods that have a multitude of abilities not to mention most bosses in darksouls have a second stage or their just hella broken like the Capra demon
@@silverhawk6748 Not in this case when going up against the likes of a maxed potential Dragonborn. It doesn't matter if you're immortal and keep reviving over and over till you get a win. DB is gonna continue to overwhelm you with superior raw power, OP arsenal, and magic till you lose the will to keep on fighting.

The Chosen Undead could do some gnarly stuff but the Dragonborn literally takes one look at all those feats, scoffs and says he could do them better. Which he could probably could.
True for the most part but I’m not sure that the Dragonborn could swing Smough’s Hammer with one hand.

Fun Fact: It's probably not. The Hero of Kvatch may have been acting as Sheogorath for a short spell, but they still have a mortal soul, they do not possess a Daedric animus and never would be able to due to there being the existence of a mortal animus. Skyrim takes place 200 or some odd years after Oblivion. The average human in The Elder Scrolls only lives 80 years at the very most, and the Hero of Kvatch is canonically an Imperial.
We already found out through the Knights of the Nine DLC that Daedric animus cannot be permanently expelled except by exceptionally special means, and you only destroyed Jyggalag's physical form, so the likely outcome was that the Hero of Kvatch was basically a babysitter for The Shivering Isles for a while. Jyggalag floated around who knows where in the wastes of Oblivion found nowhere to go because he had no realm anymore, he probably eventually became Sheogorath again as is the curse, found out that there was already a Sheogorath in the Shivering Isles (The Hero of Kvatch), thought it was a grand enough idea to let the Hero of Kvatch chill there so the real Sheogorath could go off on vacation, and then you find the real one, the half-Jyggalag one, after a 140 or so year vacation playing around in some mad emperor's head like it was a jungle gym for insanity. If it was the case that the Hero of Kvatch is permanently Sheogorath, then we would've had a quest for Jyggalag in Skyrim. Instead I don't think the game even references Jyggalag in any way.

@@lyricmoore Sure, but the Daedric Princes aren't specifically isolationists that do nothing but lay around in their realm the whole time. For the most part, they're omnipotent Gods that enjoy tampering with mortal affairs sometimes just to see what they can get away with behind the Aedra's backs, and the Daedric Sheogorath did mention that the Princes often times have parties, well I'm sure even if the Daedric Sheogorath didn't know, he found out and got right caught up after Mehrunes Dagon became the punchline to their jokes for the next couple hundred years. It's also possible that the Hero of Kvatch becoming Sheogorath basically combined his memories and knowledge to the Daedric one when he came to take back his realm.
As far as the Hero of Kvatch achieving immortality and becoming a true Prince like that, nah. He just became Sheogorath in name only, and had some minor control of the realm. As Sheogorath said, "You're going to stop the Greymarch by becoming Me. Or a *version* of Me. You'll be powerful. Powerful enough to stop Jyggalag".
@@point-five-oh6249 Mortals can obtain a Daedric animus (aka Vestige just look at the Soul Shriven or Purified from ESO, your character in ESO "The Vestige" is referred to as such because you posses one such vestige. The lore has progressed since KotN and we need to look at things with new lore in mind, so there is a high likelyhood Sheo in TES5 is indeed the Hero of Kvatch.

Fun fact about the battle song done by Yates (fireborn) the chorus is made up of long time Death Battle fans.
Also ngl this might be my favorite DB rn the set up/reason why they fight is perfect the animation is top notch the music if the most epic mash up of the Sources possible and it’s not just a planet busting spectacle like a lot of the best fights. This is a epic duel between 2 Demi god hero’s giving pretty much EVERYTHING they’ve got to complete the quest and save everyone. This isn’t just a fight for them this is something they HAVE to do. The moment when these two bust out their final weapons with the chorus blaring as they charge head first into one another is one of the most Hype pieces of animation Death Battle has ever made!
All very true. Now if only we got THIS as our season opener. I mean, Ant-Man vs Atom wasn't terrible, but it was another Marvel vs DC fight and kinda middle of the road. Less of a Hulk vs Doomsday, more of a Naymor vs Aquaman.

@@derrickmeade4891 deadric influence is based on worship and followers so going into a world where they dont have either of those means they have none, this is why during the time of skyrim molag bal was at the weakest he's ever been to the point his very existence as a deadric prince was dependent on the dragonborn helping him, cuz he had basically no followers left and the few he did wernt actually devoted, so yh, taking the wabbajack into a world where nobody has even heard of sheogarth means it does fuck all, and even if it still COULD work, it stilll doesnt because it uses magic to be used and if i REALLY wanne be a nitpicking douche the dragonborn woudnt be able to use magic AT ALL because the magic power people from nirn/mundus use gets supplied through small holes (on the moon or stars or some shit cant exactly remember) that cause magic power for him and everone on nirn to use to flow for atheria(?) (Godly realm cant remember the exact name) so dropping the dragonborn in the darksouls world means he doesnt have magic at all because the force he draws from to do so quite literally doesnt exist
The Dova can defeat immortal beings
1.) Turn them into Chickens, coins, or Sweet Roll via god tier Wabbajack staff
2.) Put them in an infinite illusion loop
3.) banish them to a pocket realm
4.) Bend their will with shouts.
The undead might be dead but the Dragonborn has one of the most powerful tricks up his sleeves… saves
Sadly for Boomstick that Soul Tear wouldn't have worked anyway...at least not with Azura's Star.
He would need The Black Star version that the Dragonborn gets to trap the souls of humans and other sentient creatures
Except in Morrowind, Azura’s Star could soul trap the Warrior Poet: Vivec. The is the only exception I know of.

It's also kinda hard to say how the Undead in Dark Souls would compare with the Undead in The Elder Scrolls, so a lot of it is left to speculation and using common sense judgment. Considering no Undead souls in The Elder Scrolls count as Black Souls, including NPC undead (with the exception of a few certain Vampires), and there's a massive difference in the Chosen Undead's forms, it'll end up a long debate that will probably land in a nothingburger. Arkay basically determines what's a White Soul and a Black Soul and probably doesn't have any rulings on what the Chosen Undead's soul would be, considering they're in different universes and all. So for the sake of consistency, yeah, Azura's Star would probably work. It wouldn't end the Chosen Undead that easily, but the Dragonborn probably got a Grand Soul out of it, so that's nice, LOL.

And this isn't even getting into the *_DEEP_* lore of Elder Scrolls, like CHIM
CHIM (yes, in all caps), is a sort of "Ascended" state where you have learned the truth of the world, and maintain your individuality (it's complicated)
And the power of CHIM is described...literally like a player's abilities: Saving and Loading, console commands, seeing the wireframe of the game world, etc.
It's why in Morrowind, Vivec, despite not particularly being on your side, will tell you upfront that he will _not_ strike first and will only fight you in self-defense
Because he has achieved _understanding_ of CHIM, and knows that _you_ have achieved it. So challenging you in combat is an _exercise in futility,_ because _you_ are capable of retrying the duel an _infinite number of times._ Meaning you will, eventually, succeed and kill him in combat.
And because of the nature of what those who have achieve CHIM are capable of, it's _heavily_ implied that _every_ player character has achieved CHIM
So even _if_ the Chosen Undead won, there would be nothing stopping the Dragonborn from resetting existence to the point in time where they first initiated combat, and repeating this encounter until he eventually wins. Basically, reloading the save before the fight, just like we would.
And again, that's just the surface. That's not getting into the _reality-breaking_ capability of Shouting, or even _Shezarrine_ stuff, which the Dragonborn is _also_ implied to be.
tl;dr Elder Scrolls lore is fucking _weird,_ it's protagonists are _absurdly_ strong, and this fight was _laughably_ one-sided.
It makes sense that the denizens of the Dark Souls would get off on briefly dying. Being endless undead having that moment of death is probably relieving to them.
Fun fact, while Dovahkiin's official translation is dragonborn, alternate, unofficial interpretations translate dovahkiin as dov ah kiin (‘born to hunt dragonkind’).
But here's the question... Does odahviing's soul go to- the dragonborn as is his godly right, or to the chosen undead as he struck the killing blow? I say Dovahkiin would steal the soul Miraak style, and a few responses I've gotten from this comment on other videos agree.
CU isn't a dragonborn, so he wouldn't get it.
Only those with the soul of a dragon (Dragonborn and other dragons) can absorb another dragon's soul upon their death.
Can't the chosen undead become like a dragon in the first game or something? Would the dragonborn than be able to just suck their soul out.
And if not them then what about the Tarnished from elden ring? Because im pretty sure dragon communion slowly turn enyone who does it into a dragon.
Well the soul is a dovah soul not a normal soul so it would go to the dovah kin. The chosen undead has a passive soul trap basically while dragons are unaffected by soul trap only being given true death by another dragon.
Even if CU could take the soul, his human soul would be overpowered by Dovahkiin’s dragon soul
Also it’s totally possible for Dovahkiin to steal the souls of another’s kill; during the Miraak fight, he has three dragons helping him, and when his health gets low enough he kills them and consumes their souls to heal. If you kill them first and try to steal their souls, he’ll just eat them anyways (though this can still be an advantage as he won’t be able to heal later on)
Not to mention that once you see Miraak for the first time, afterwards until you kill him he’ll sometimes show up when you kill a dragon, taunt you, then steal its soul (you get all the stolen souls after you defeat him)
The Crest Shield reduces 80% Magic damage and when used in junction with Great Magic Barrier the player becomes immune to Magic damage so that's how CU blocked Fus Ro Dah.
Technically The Voice is not magic, it's a language turned to power. Even magic-defence in skyrim doesn't stop damage from FUS. It does mitigate fire, ice, and shock damage respectively.
Thu'um/Shouts are not really magic perce, its basically the user "singing" and making creation obey

@@Zennethe See the funny thing about magic, in the Elder Scrolls world, as far as I understand is that it's basically reality warping. The ability to use magicka is somewhat related to one's willingness to bend reality to their whim (and also Aetherius - the source of all magicka).

Only after Blake vs Mikasa. I think they got a lot of flak for spoiling a plot point the anime hadn't gotten to at the time. But I have noticed they have been more careful after that episode.

It's basically an Unstoppable Force (Dragonborn) vs an Immovable Object (Chosen Undead).
If anything, it would've been funny to see the Dragonborn rage at having to kill the Chosen Undead over and over again, since everything is usually given to him on a silver platter.
That isn’t the case here. The chosen undead simply didn’t have a reason or goal to fight the Dragonborn unto potentially infinity. He knows he can’t win so the simplest solution is to stay dead until the Dragonborn leaves, then pop back up and move on with life.

Not as much of a draw as you think..... The last dragonborn has both the means and knowledge on how to kick the chosen undead out of time until Akatosh chose to return him.

I've never played Dark Souls, so can some one verify if "Vow of Silence" specifically prevents you and others in your vicinity from speaking or just cancels out the use of magic. I ask because if it is the latter, then I think it wouldn't actually prevent the Dragonborn from using shouts since they don't actually utilize magicka to function.
so in game it stops magic period even for yourself in lore its not really said if it just stops them from talking as all the description says is "Secret rite of black-haired witch Velka. Prevents casting of magic within effect area.
Velka, the Goddess of Sin, is a rogue deity, but she is versed in arts both new and old, and is considered to have a great range of influence even as gods are concerned." so unsure if it stops you from talking in turn unable to cast or just like a spell that negates magic
Dragonborn could also just whip out Spellbreaker to nullify the vow of silence. So technically it never could have even prevented them from using magic.
@@EchoAwakens The idea that Spellbreaker could cancel Vow of Silence is a heavy reach. All it does is create a ward. Despite the name, it doesn’t actually cancel magic itself.

If you read Elder scrolls law, you would see that "Spellbreaker Silences mages before they perform their spell" and it was also strong enough to break a curse made by Azura a daedric prince who would be hyperversal in nature. Saying vow of silence could resist spellbreaker is a heavy reach.
@@rock21611 the lore spellbreaker can cancel magic even before the target uses the spell, its speculated that it might see into the future as it always cancels enemy spells before the enemy even uses them.

Eh depends there were actually multiple ways the dB could beat cu, for instance turning cu into a sweet roll, hitting him with joor za frul and making him truly mortal, using mehrunes dagger to erase him from the universe or even just standing there as a vampire. The end game for the two are completely different considering you can make the dB truly immortal while the cu can't reach that point.

Dragonborn is still a mortal, he will eventually get tired, he will eventually be unable to keep healing. It's more along the lines of what will last longer...the Dragonborn's ability to stay awake, or the Chosen Undead's tenacity
But they forget like always, freaking dovakiin has all the necessary of a human and 1 life but noo.
LDB can also be a Vampire Lord. Also if you go by lore, he scales to Outer Multiversal which means that the DB with the artifacts like Mehrunes' Razor could just remove the First Flame from existence.
The Dragonborn has spells to recover stamina and his Mana passively recovers so he'll never get tired.

I feel like this fight would’ve ended faster if the LDB was a orc and used berserker, or if they had used Dragon Aspect. Both give really good boasts and if the LDB used both at once this fight would’ve ended so quick
Yes. Not to mention they give us 2 daedric weapons but no staffs, shields or armor? What about the Wabbajack or wearing Ebony armor. Heck, the Dragonborn didn't even have enchanted armor for this fight. I don't he even bothered to wear a ring or amulet. Plus, I don't play DS but they said Vow of Silence blocks spoken magic but only the Thu'um needs to be spoken, regular spells are just shot out of the hands.
Redguard DBs are also batshit busted. Heck, LDB didn't even use his crazier shouts like Dragon Aspect or summon Durnehviir.

also its hard to feel like its fair with how darksouls you feel like youre actually getting better and stronger while in skyrim i felt like i was just boosting my numbers until i could bash myself against that dragon priest hard enough XD

@@enderriderone5180 To be fair, Skyrim (and to a greater extent - all the ES games) is not really focused on the combat as much, and I do agree it has a LOT of room to improve, it is blatantly obvious that it was not the most important mechanic for them to focus (and honestly, I'm glad they finally moved away from the way Morrowind and before handled combat).

Fun fact the dragonborn could have won without the chosen undead reviving by useing the dragonrend shout which turns immortal beings mortal for a limited time so he could just kill the chosen undead without reviving.

Dragons are basically immortal pieces of time that cannot die, unless 1 their souls/shard is absorbed by other dragons or are force to become mortals like alduin was.

Now another thing that I never really thought about, until I started thinking about it - was that the shouts, while in the game have cool down, apparently in-universe don't (as far as I'm aware lore-wise). So...realistically, nothing's stopping the dragonborn from just spamming shouts until he get's bored.

Omniman is actually the real deal in a lot of ways. The people he fights aren't exactly on his level but, they are at least strong enough to hold their own against him. Homelander on the other hand is more like a bully. He only picks on those that are weaker than him and he even routinely abuses his fellow Superhero's when they do something he believes is out of line.
