Registered to a Mr Arthur Overman, Stanford-Le-Hope on the 1st December 2000, this Mercedes SLK230 has clearly been a cherished car and remained in his keepership for some 21 years and comes with the following factory specification

Having come to us recently this SLK230 presents in really lovely condition. The exterior, Brilliant Silver, paintwork has a great overall finish, free from any discernible marks and nice even panel gaps. The staggered 5 spoke 16" alloys are in very good, original, condition too (tyres showing 4mm F and 7mm R) and importantly all bumpers, lens, exterior rubbers etc are all great too. Remarkably as a 24yr old car, 'modern classic', she looks lovely and it's great to see that her previous owners have kept her 'pure', just as Mercedes intended.
Opening the door and the quality continues on the inside too. With just 46k miles on the clock, the interior finished in black / anthracite leather, with Eucalyptus wood trim accents, is in excellent condition, with zero bolster wear to the seats, no colour fade and all the plastics / switches remaining in excellent order. Everything works as it should too, with the SLK's party-piece, the electric folding roof transforming from a sleek closed hard-top to a chic cabrolet in a matter of moments.
With just 3 former keepers (the last 2 a father and son) and with only 46k miles, less than 2k/yr, and supported with every MOT certificate, mechanically the car is in fine fettle, the service book contains 8 service stamps, with 3 further service entries and having driven her on multiple occasions we can happily say, shes a real delight. The 2.3 litre Supercharged engine, is perfectly mated to the 5 speed automatic gearbox and makes for a fantastic drive, she'll return over 30mpg when on a run we've no doubt that she'll match all of her performance specs, a sub 7.2sec 0-60mph and 140mph+ ..... on the autobahn!
As an entry level to 'modern' classic motoring, we'll be completely honest ..... motoring doesn't come much better. Add in a great service record and we feel this Mercedes SLK is truly one of the few genuine cars that you can enjoy year round, she offers the cachet of a premium German brand, great reliability, comfort, practicality and looks ...... there's not many cars that can offer so much on a sub £5k budget.
