Who Goes To Gehinom?

  • Rabbi Yaron Reuven discusses whether most people go to Gehinom. He explains that the question is flawed, as Gehinom has different levels and timeframes for punishment. Those who are busy serving Hashem and constantly striving to improve their spiritual connection need not fear, as even Gehinom becomes positive for them.
    He shares a terrifying story from the Sefer HaChochmah to emphasize the importance of continuously working on one's spiritual growth. The lesson is to focus on serving Hashem with love and dedication, rather than being complacent.

    excellent shiur Rav. I like the perspective, when we LOVE hashem, everything is good! In fact, in kriyas shema, we say "vahavta es hashem elocecha bcal moedecha" Rashi comments with every middah hashem sends your way, both good and bad, you love him. But may we merit to only be good, and know good, and be in gan eden! amen.

    I visited Guehinom during ayahuasca sessions. Trust me this was the most traumatic experience ever, because everything that was there was what I'd created with my own fears, I realize now. Imagine millions of malignant entities, that you create with your sins. Fear, Horror, Perversion ,all was there. The anxiety was so intense... I don't know how I survived this. So painful on a soul level.

    Does thinking in Hebrew make it easier to see how to serve Hashem?
    I was born to atheists, some calling themselves catholics, and believe we're all to serve the same purpose which Judaism has the most logical rational on understanding this world. But I consider myself an outsider and waste too much time questioning if I'm serving God or myself because I support gentile relatives and zero jews. I serve family, "people", that only look to barely serve themselves.
    If I studied Hebrew and surrounded myself in the language. Would this solidify my belief and straight out my cognitive dissonance?
    Would it harden my belief only because I committed more of my energy to it?

    • @YaronReuvenRabbi
      @YaronReuvenRabbi  Před 4 lety +10

      Learning Mussar/Torah that is relevant to the gentiles is much more important for you to do than learning Hebrew. Even a Jew is obligated to learn those more than learning Hebrew, as learning Torah and Mussar will get you become righteous enough to go to Heaven, whereas learning Hebrew does not do that

    Hi Rav , thank you for this lesson . There's one thing I don't understand though: in your examples, you said "if one overcharges someone else" ..and then continued "and he was a Jew"... so does that mean Judaism teaches two different codes of conduct? one for jews and one for non -jews? shouldn't one person be ethical and moral to everyone because you believe in the principle itself and not who it applies to? Can you please confirm if that's the case or clarify if I got it wrong ? Thank you Rav

    Not only in this lesson but A lot of what he speaks are just standard learning meaning, "its says here" "and this rabbi says this" however this person here never teaches the final ruling of the rabbis. This type of following and teaching is harsh and will eventually scare ppl to follow our TORHA. There are halachk rulings and he ignores them. One thing ppl need to know is that god gave the power to our master rabbis of our generations to make a pasak halacha and god and we as a nation go with. Stock maket didn't work out so he came up with 3 hour long videos to make it up. Please start making videos of halacha concepts to explain it better, rather then to just keep telling everyone we are all doomed in hell. A person can change that all by one thing teshuva. Good luck to you and hopefully you would send out a better message then our religion is a nightmare and anything we do is no good.😊
