GamingLife that's sad ,i saw the actually video that a by stander took .I didn't hear any screaming .My guess is that they got knocked out when they collided with that pole .So if they did burn to death then they didnt feel it .Its really sad because the guy was a likable actor .he wasnt the best but i enjoyed watching him in those movies he did since pleasantville he'll be missed feel bad for the fam especially for his daughter .puts life in perspective though .you realize how fragile life really is and how quick and sudden it can all end for you .i think the driver should of been more responsible
GamingLife They couldn't escape the car anyway. If you read their autopsy reports, there were too many injuries. Paul had multiple broken bones, including a spinal injury, ribs and jaw. He physically would not have been able to get out, and I hope he was unconscious when the fire erupted. And the only thing that made it more sad, it took 60secs before the car was engulfed in flames, and it makes me angry that the street appeared bare, with only a couple cars and no one rushed in to help. I would of done it, I would of tried to save both of them or call someone to help save the other person.

JAY OH I think the driver died on impact, the autopsy suggest Paul was alive on impact and only took a few breaths. He died of thermal and traumatic injuries, and like I said, I hope he was unconscious and that he felt nothing. RIP

That wasn't the car. The crash had already occured before this video started as there is already smoke there. That was just the first car to arrive to the scene, and then here was a time skip to the explosion.

A comment to clarify to the many people who mistook the video:
At the 0:01 second mark Paul and his friend's car crashed, hence the big red circle in the upper right hand corner of the video so you wouldn't miss it, and yet most still do. Go replay n look, yeah, you see that puff of smoke and explosion? Squint your eyes and focus.
They were traveling from the right side of the video to the left side, hence why you don't even see the car at all.
The vehicle you see entering at 0:13 seconds is not the car Paul was in but an oncoming car traveling opposite the car Paul and his friend were in, they slowed down and pulled wide to the curb because from their view they could see an accident up ahead, which is what most normal people would do.
And as to everyone saying that this is a setup, murder, yada yada. Believe you me, it is not. It was no more then a freak joyride accident . Paul and his friend were big time car guys. What car guy goes into a sports car like a Carrera GT and drive slow? I as hell wouldn't. I'm sure it was just supposed to be a short spirited drive after the charity event he was just at to store the car away. His friend, the driver, underestimated the road and car and lost control of the vehicle. They lost control, jumped the curb at a fast rate of speed, and because there were trees along side the road, their vehicle basically t-boned one of them and blew up. Being a lightweight sportscar it would have been pretty mangled up dependent on the speed at time of crash. And it was. Gas line may have broke, engine is hot from racing speeds, sparks could have flown, thus igniting the fuel from broken fuel tank and or lines, and a big kaboom.
I am pretty sure that if not for those damned trees planted on the side of the roads, Paul would probably still be here with us today, albeit a little banged up from their car jumping the curb, they might have been still alive. What killed them was the vehicle impacting the tree, catching fire, and explosion. They were probably knocked out unconscious from the moment of impact and not know or feel a thing.
