Wow $3000 we live in Kansas with all amenities we pay rent for $1025. Two bedrooms 2 bath and a huge living space of 1200 sq footage. I always complain but I am good with what we have lol. Can’t wait to see your new space.
3k is price gouging. all those area you went were basically gentrified for yall moving to clt. 3k/month can get you a big old house out in the suburb w a nice yard or in highrise in downtown
Can’t stop laughing at the people that are telling you to buy. Some people don’t want to deal with all that My fiancé and I got our 3bd2ba 1500sqft in uptown/optimist park for 2200. There are so many great options in the city now
these are all beautiful units. crazy how much rent is for new and relatively new complexes these days. but it's also so hard buying a house these days too! We'd love to get a more updated house and more acreage but it's just ridiculous and things I can't justify spending that much on with interest rates sadly. Can't wait to see the place you picked!
Great video! I really liked South & Hollis, and have toured it myself. They have 1 bedroom with den, which is ideal for me as a single renter who works on a hybrid schedule, I loved the layout and size, but it didn't have a balcony and also, as you mentioned, the construction IS way too much to deal with. I did, however, choose another property in LoSo, but I really did like South and Hollis. The other places you toured were very nice as well. And as far as Camden goes, smart move passing them up! I lived at a Camden property when I moved to Charlotte 5 years go and only stayed for a year as it was so old and unkempt. I tried to give Camden the benefit of the doubt and look at several other communities they own, but they were all very outdated and in need of some serious TLC lol. Anyways, love these videos about your life in Charlotte, can't wait to see more! Also, congrats on your Master's Degree!
Totally agree about south & hollis, they had great floor plan options beyond just the basic floor plan. Good to know about Camden, that was definitely the vibe we got!! Thank you :)
I would recommend staying away from MAA. I have never heard any good things about them. I live in South End and love how walkable it is though! I live in one of the oldest buildings (older than Camden Southline) and they keep it pretty well maintained and are going through and updating units currently. Funny that Hawkins Press is touting that they “used to be a printing press” because they definitely started from a dirt lot.
Oooo yes I wonder if it's the one I wanted to tour, but they didn't have any updated 2 beds at the time! They said they were doing lots of renovations. That is funny about hawkins press 😂 They definitely gave the impression it was a restored building lol
My GF and I are also looking for apartments in Charlotte. Your budget is double ours 😂 Wondering why you guys don’t rent a house instead with more space?
We honestly love apartment amenities (like the pool!) and it is easier to find a nice apartment in the area we want to be in than a house. We definitely considered a house but an apartment is just a better fit for us right now :)
This was great! Love how you included prices and additional fees for extras! So comprehensive! One bit of advice- use the term primary instead of master because it’s offensive to some people in this “woke” era and just don’t want you getting cancelled because your content is great!! Xo
I paid $2500/ month to rent a beautiful 3 bed 3 bath home at the beach in San Diego. I feel like ppl are price gouging at this point, no offense but $3000/month is insane . I hope you get the apartment you are looking for
Every state and town is different. I got lucky getting a one bedroom at $1200 but most of the apartments around here are going for 2k plus for a one or two bedroom with nothing included. I’m in MA.
Know whats crazier than the prices? The people willing to pay it. 3k a month to not own is ridiculous. I've been in the area 30yrs, at this point, purchase. You're just building equity for someone else. Drive to the bar, you dont need it in your yard.
So excited for your new journey! I’ve lived in charlotte since i was 4 and i love it ❤️
Love it, thank you!

That sounds amazing!! Charlotte could never
@@KristaCannadyI live near South Park and pay 1100 for a home with a yard.. I cringe hearing that people pay more than 2k+ for an APARTMENT
@@maryperry6573 Sounds amazing! We love apartments and the amenities
@@KristaCannadyI definitely do wish I had amenities… or just a pool 😅
We're not in Kansas anymore 😂
I live in St. Pete and have also been looking into moving to Charlotte in 3 months! Good luck with your move!
Love that! Thank you 💕
I just moved to Charlotte in the beginning of summer! I'm sure you will love it!
Aw yay!!

The crime is getting crazy here in Charlotte, definitely don't recommend moving here.

Dave Ramsey has always said there’s nothing wrong with driving yourself home from the old watering hole if it helps build equity
Not everyone wants to be tied to 30 years worth of debt especially with today’s home prices and interest rates.
Omg you pay $3000 for 1x1 😮 I’ll be moving too!
Yes!! Crazy!!
