Mary did what most fans of The Closer thought impossible, made everyone "forget" Brenda. She is wonderful and Sharon too. I'm loving Major Crimes and admiring Mary McDonnell more and more.
It's ridiculous how much I love Sharon Raydor and Mary's portrayal of her.

I truly wish that this was a reboot. When they killed off Capt. Raydor it really upset the series and the fans. Love her. Loved the Closer, loved Major Crimes.

I like it better than the Closer. Brenda got on my nerves. Too emotional and unprofessional. I like Raydor's cold intelligence. They need to tone down Provenza. Rusty is annoying and unbelievable. He would steal her stuff and be gone back to the park.

Don't hate on Mary McDonnell. The character of Sharon Raydor is wooden and frozen she is very still. I love the way she portrays Sharon. But Provenza and Flynn are my favorites.

Those stupid haters still think the same way now?? Mary is the best actress and Major Crimes is WAY BETTER than The Closer :).
In retrospect now in 2023, I must praise the character of Sharon Raydor, and of course, the actress who plays her, Mary McDonnell. The MOST poignant to me is her relationship with Rusty. Many times it brings tears to my eyes. What a wonderful and truly selfless loving relationship she has with this broken and abused young man. I just love it.
@Linda B~Really, and you know all this how? Sounds like you spend rather a lot of time watching a woman you dont like. Why would you do that? And why so fixated on superficial qualities like looks and not what she says and thinks?
