Video of series: How it's made? Detailed crafting video of minimalist style 1.4mm vegetable tanned "Pueblo" leather (Tobacco & Walnut colors, stitched 1mm beige Ritza Tiger thread) bifold wallet.
Хорошая работа, но большой отступ сверху для купюр и доп. прослойка ломает обложку бумажника, для пары месяцев ношения он уже довольно плохо выглядит. Нужно просто брать на обложку пуебло потолще, около 2мм, тогда его обложка будет девственной намного дольше, ровней, а патина ляжет равномерней.
Товарищ, это пока единственный русский коммент что я нашел. У автора ролика акцент такой странный, русский шоли, не знаешь?

Hello there! Beautiful wallet! I just purchased the template for this and am excited to start. One process question though: when you're burnishing the inside edge of the card slots, how are the two card slot peices stuck together? Thanks!

Hey buddy, you could do a video on how you remove glue from your leather after you have finished. And how you remove any scuffs or scratches. I use the same glue and leathers as you but I haven’t got a clue how to remove glue, it’s very easy to get some on the surface when gluing!
Remove from Buttero leather its quite easy and with no any marks left just rubbing off, with Pueblo leather its quite impossible to clean without marks so i just take extra attention when glueing Pueblo parts :)

The Fiebings leather glue used in this project is not very strong in my tests against regular smelly contact cement and Aquilim 315 water based cement. Obviously proper contact cement is the strongest but the next best thing is Aquilim 315 in my opinion which works in the same way as regular contact cement but without the toxic fumes and odor.
I dont know why it always should be strongest. For sure there are stronger glues. Fiebings more than enough strong for what im doing. I never had problem with this glue regarding to hold glued layers to weak.
P.S. for about a year im using Ecostick 1816B now, but switched not because Fiebings is to weak :)
@@strhandmade I found that when stitching or burnishing my edges they would start to split apart right at the edge and I would have to add more glue to rejoin them. I also used the SEIWA leather glue which a lot of the Japanese use but still had the same problem.
I make my wallets indoors and my wife hates the smell of contact cement so I found the Aquilim 315 water based contact cement and my problem was gone.
Never tried the Ecostick and if it ain't broke then don't fix it.

How come you don't use a stitching pony? It will make your job much easier and quicker.
I tried, not really liked it. Im pretty quick with free hand stitching after almost 4years pulling thread through holes :) Its a nuance in video, you can see some weird positions of hands, or things looks like im doing for the first time, because of i need to show it to camera :) If i would be stitching just regular way, in video you just would see my hands :)

Очень стильный, компактный кошелек получился, обожаю минимализм. Не мое дело, но почему не пользуетесь шорником, это тот инструмент, которым когда попробуешь, больше не отвяжешься. Если не прав- прошу извинить) Кожа топ, у нас в Молдове такой не найти, а с ценой доставки изделие нерентабельно становится. Удачи!
пробовал я когда то, но как то не прилип он мне.
Тут в Литве с кожной тоже нелуче, но конешно намного лехче присылать с Евросаюза.

What did he use to apply colombus wax? Just camvas ?
Yeah man. Just rub your canvas in it so it warms up! Get a much thinner layer, which is a good thing!
Yes, i use synthetic canvas (I believe its polyester canvas) it gives shine to edges
@@strhandmade does it make any difference to rub the canvas to wax rather than rub the wax to leather and then with the canvas?
where can you buy the black card sample that your using?
I cant say exactly i believe i bough my cards on ebay, it was few years ago. Check at companies which make business cards, and stuff like that.

There is a difference between making and assembling parts. You rely on ready-made molds, my dear, that you cut them with molds and then collect them. So say (How do I collect a purse and not how to make it) Thanks
Sure, also you forget to mention that its not a handmade, because i used dremel tool for sanding edges :)
