This channel may be my most random find of this quarantine yet. I never thought I would be binge watching youtube videos about dairy farming but alas here I am lmao.
Hey Jan, you guys treat your ladies so good and thats very interesting on how the bed buster breaks the sand up to make it softer do you fluff their pillows lol. The drone footage was fantastic and it gives you a idea on big the dairy is. So whats next Jan keep up the good work see you in the next video🤔🛏🐄😴💤💤😉
I’m losing a lot of sleep watching this channel! I love ❤️ you’re channel so much I just can’t stop watching! My household chores are piling up I am so hooked on you LoL 😂
Hey Jan! Wow you sure did get some rain, what a mess you had. That bed buster is amazing. You sure to take amazing care of your animals!! Please keep up the great videos for us, they are super interesting!!!! Stay safe and healthy Jan!
Boy I could tell you the way you take care of your cows most people should take care of their dogs because those cows are treated very well great job God bless you and your family keep up the good work👍👍👍
And I thought all you had to do was buy a cow feed it and milk it, but then again I’m a city slicker, I thought milk just popped up on the grocery store shelve, I have a whole new respect for you guys, god bless the farmers
Looks like you are very impressed over the new piece of equipment...to keep it quiet maybe has Grease fittings on it to keep it quiet...and the rain you had seems like a lot ...but if it had a crown in the center it would run off into a ditch for flow...we get a lot of rain here and it seems to rain every day causes the trees to fall in the woods for too much rain...great video and cant wait for another one... keep those cows smiling...
*Thank you Jan! I appreciate your efforts! By the way (sorry for being late) thank you for the feed video you made on request from mine and others' comments! THANK YOU VERY MUCH JAN!!*
Really appreciate the videos about more aspects of your operation. One thought about your piles of forage covered with plastic and held down partly by dirt; why not get some 6 or 8 inch plastic pipes, fill them with concrete and a rebar and use them to hold the plastic. In the spring you would not need to move the dirt and separate the plastic. They might last for years.
I really enjoy your videos, would be awesome in future to have a farming Simulator map of yours to play. Would love to hear some of the history of the farm too. I have watched a lot of your videos but haven't seen a lot about the history. I'm a city guy in Australia but grew up with family owning a dairy farm and it brings back some good memories. Cheers.
You are so busy...!!!! You do this and then that. So much to do and 24 hrs. I would hunt for a cow to rest on again..ha ha Love your videos I go to bed so happy watching ALL you do.. I am thankful I have you to watch. I don't have TV set yours are better to watch.. granny90
If that bed buster was self propelled and could run the length of the beds all you would have to do is place it and start it at one end of the bed and have it automatically stop at the end of the bed! Then set it up on the next bed to repeat. That would greatly reduce the amount of time an "employee" needs to do that recurring job. There are so many thigs that could be done easier today. Cheers
Wow, you got a real soaking there. I saw a comment about the mesh wrap--what does happen to it? Why don't you wear gloves when you do dirty stuff? The bed buster seems like a pretty nice tool to have. Loved your video and thanks for sharing.
I love how some of your cows are so curious, they seem so unafraid. I noticed it didn't get the sides, where mice can make homes. Do you or an employee shovel it loose.
So how do you dispose of your plastic? We have very strict rules in the UK. It costs to buy and it costs to dispose. It would pay to collect it as you go and why include the net wrap in the animal feed? We wouldn’t want to eat it. Up to now have been seriously impressed with your amazingly well run farm.
Are there no rubber mats in those stall bed? I would think sand only compact with moisture doesn't tunnel ventilation eliminate condensation. Methane digester with a screw press making bio solids can be used for bedding and eliminate the abrasive sand and provide electrical generation
Great idea to have these bed softener. Hey tell me what do you do with the wrapping of the big round bales you are chopping...can cow heat it? And congratulations for the clean up you do with the plastic...unfortunately some guys don’t and it looks like a mess. Well done!
It's a shame that there isn't a way to cover the feed piles that doesn't involve so much single use plastic. Would be nice to have a way to use slightly less plastic.
Joey Carbstrong's just an idiot who doesn't know what he's talking about! I endured one of his videos yesterday and I had a headache at the end of it lol. He's full of nonsense

appreciate showcasing the bed-baster, helping other farmers with the info they need
Those were some excellent photos from the drone. A lot of water. Great video thank you Jan.

Hello, I'm from the Dominican Republic, I love parenting, I'm a faithful follower of your videos, blessings from a distance.
Boy I could tell you the way you take care of your cows most people should take care of their dogs because those cows are treated very well great job God bless you and your family keep up the good work👍👍👍
Awesome video Jan! Please make a video of 30+ uneditedminutes of that hay grinder. That thing sounded awesome!
Well done Jan! Looks way more comfy, especially when compared to the muddy corrals. Blessings!

Very generous to give a free review. Good work!
now I know where all the rain went, it went to see Jan, good idea to let the Boss do the bed busting first.
i absolutely love my province of Saskatchewan. I drove to Manitoba today, everything is f'n green and beautiful in a f'd up world

The Bed Buster is super cool. I'd like to see more of it. Thanks for the video.
Keeping the ladies as comfortable as possible!! Peace from SW Florida 😇!!!
I love the skid steer operator’s hat. My favourite!
Looks like the farm needs a rainwater catchment pond. Drone footage is nice, great video ~ T
Great peace of kit. Well done for making the beds even better for your cows. Great video
Another great video Jan. Your new bed buster is great.
Almost 100K subscribers... 10th Generation Dairyman just gave you a shoutout on his Q & A with his dad...
That's a lot of rain 😟 I need that bed buster for my bed haha.. Good to see you again Jan 😊
Can you get Hatfield to do a promo code for that bed buster?? 😂 I didn’t realize I needed one until now!
Love your video's.
Always a great job
That is alot of water. Wow. Love the drone footage as always. Like the bed buster.
I love how clean your farm is…a fellow Canadian
So now you're a cow fluffer. That image had me roaring with laughter! LOL
Fluffy sand = Happy cows. Thanks for sharing.

Bruh that skid steer has got the grooves 🤣
You take such good care of you cows. Thank you!!
4:38 we’ve got the same thing behind the tractor to prepare the ground for seeding after ploughing
Hopefully all that rain did not ruin the crops already planted. Anything & everything for the cows -- Happy Cows, More & Quality Milk 🚜 🚜 🚜🐄🐄🐄🐄 🚜 🚜 🚜

Another great video Jan - Thanks so much for explaining and sharing!
Good videos man especially the aerial views they were perfect
technology can be very helpful on a farm great video good job really enjoyed it
Hi. Always top quality job. soon the 100k subscribers. greetings from switzerland. François.
Cool machine. I guess it hits every cows sleep number. Cool!
Ahhh ,..the Prairie Sky , miss it.
Congrats for 92k subs
Raunak Anwar hey raunak l didn’t watch Joey video so his voice so irritating
Very impressed by the bed buster. Loved the cow who was ‘foreman’ on the job. Cows are smart aren’t they? Always want to know what’s happening.

That new Bed Buster looks like a good investment. You gotta spend money to make money and there's a few bucks spent on the right stuff.
All that standing water, time to plant rice maybe?👍
all that rain made its way over to Alberta last night. Huge hail storm as well
Love the vids Jan
Wow, you got a real soaking there. I saw a comment about the mesh wrap--what does happen to it? Why don't you wear gloves when you do dirty stuff? The bed buster seems like a pretty nice tool to have. Loved your video and thanks for sharing.
A pitch fork works pretty good for grabbing that plastic. Saves getting covered in dirt
You could see the cows really didn’t mind it ... but your cows are super calm ... nice 😏👊
why do you leave the plastic wrap on the straw that you shred for feed ? fibre? good vid kid tx
Seriously a skid steer must be one of the most universal machines a farmer could own. It is the Swiss army knife of implements.
Great video as usual Jan :)
Great drone footage, Jan. Have you thought of using a “grizzly” to sort the dirt and sand from the plastic?
Looks great SDK. Thanks for sharing.
Wauw. Zeker veel te veel regen. Lijkt een beetje op Nederland. hahaha Don't know if you read Dutch, but I'm sure Mom & Dad can. :)
T regent hier idd erg veel deze week
We also bed with sand but we dont get hard spots in the sand. The sand however is special sand that we get from a company
We have a lot of thunder in the Netherlands
Nice and comfy cozy nice. 🐄🌾🐮🐄
Is the net wrap ground up with the straw? If so that doesn’t bother the cows?
Cork Hay Man the net wrap stays on the beaters that grind up the straw
You are a credit to your parents, they raised you well.
Wow! I haven't seen that much water since my neighbor, Rufus , started drinking 40 ounce Molsens all day and didn't quite make it to the bathroom.
I love how some of your cows are so curious, they seem so unafraid. I noticed it didn't get the sides, where mice can make homes. Do you or an employee shovel it loose.

WHAT DO YOU DO WITH THE NET RAP
Hi, great vlog, very informative! Please wash your bobcat it's so dirty lol! 😁
Hi my friend,, good video like always......does your family Own the farm or Lease it ??????
Are there no rubber mats in those stall bed? I would think sand only compact with moisture doesn't tunnel ventilation eliminate condensation. Methane digester with a screw press making bio solids can be used for bedding and eliminate the abrasive sand and provide electrical generation
Love your videos. I hope the bed buster makes you like the sand more. Is the sand still a problem in the pit.
What about the plastic net on those big round bales you ground?
They cut those off before doing all this
@@nathancousineau2606 ,, could see it was on the bales as they were put into the grinder...
@SaskFutchKid we use silage for the lining around the pits
Hey Jan, Eric from 10th generation dairy farmer just gave you a big shout out in his latest video
Love your video!!
Anything for happy cows!
Oh, a giant paper shredder!! and a fluffer-uper.
I like it, good job bro🤜
Hi
The bed buster needs a 90' gearbox so the drive motor is flat , then you will under clear the bars without having to watch it
Wow looks like your going to has to put field pipe in together rid of the water around farm. Wow never seen that much rain in awhile.
Ooooooh almost 100k, when do you think you would hit this?
Greetings from the netherlands
In Scotland need to pay to have all plastic recycled off the farm. Don’t you need to do that in Canada? Loving the bedding machine. 👍🏻🐄🏴
At night just burn it 🔥
👍👌🇨🇦❤, that comes with big fines here and you can smell it for miles, nope can do
The sky looked incredible
Great idea to have these bed softener. Hey tell me what do you do with the wrapping of the big round bales you are chopping...can cow heat it? And congratulations for the clean up you do with the plastic...unfortunately some guys don’t and it looks like a mess. Well done!
What all goes into the feed? Like weight or percents? By the way nice bale chopper blaster!
Porter Isaac Jan did a previous video explaining what goes into making up the batches of feed.
i see u dont cut the plastic mesh wrap of the straw bales before u chop them ? what happens to the bale wrap
hope it dont end up in there feed 😢
live every day I was wondering the same thing..
It ends up in the feed, and maybe even shows up in the milk as microplastic.
It’s been cut open at the bottom of the machine, there it ends up around rol
He posted a video about it a while ago
There is large beaters in the bottom of the machine most of the wrap gets caught there. There is a very small amount that makes it into the feed.
It's a shame that there isn't a way to cover the feed piles that doesn't involve so much single use plastic. Would be nice to have a way to use slightly less plastic.
Haha that’s nothing compared to individually wrapped bales
Do you grind up the netting too?
Nice and comfortable
Wow that is a lot of rain
You should debate Joey Carbstrong on the ethics of dairy farming .
Joey Carbstrong's just an idiot who doesn't know what he's talking about! I endured one of his videos yesterday and I had a headache at the end of it lol. He's full of nonsense
@@NoctiDraws I'm not so sure about that . What is it you had an issue with ?
Why waste the time. It’s pointless to debate with extremist
Love the new tool
Why dont you get the netrep of the bales before you shred them? That's plastic wright ?
All the plastic is stuck in the grinder so it does not mixed in with the straw.
Maria Ragnarsson I would say that it is ignorant to say “all” the plastic net wrap stays in the grinder. Definitely not the best health practice for the cows.
Cool video's man
How long does it takes for the outsidepens to dry out ?
I'm thinking of the cows hoofs. It cant be good for them standing in the whet for long ?
