This is great! Please excuse my ignorance but since it’s a self playing patch, do you have to press any notes or sequence anything in to get it going? As in where is the trigger source. Thanks so much .
@@mimihana111 ah brill, so as soon as you patch it in (with the other settings of course), it just plays itself? That’s really cool. I used to have an original MS20. Miss it lots but my mate has just bought one and he sent me this! I wonder if I can apply the same principle to my Arp2600 to make a self playing patch? 🤔 Thanks for responding so quickly.
Well i start to find it out, I use two k2 nd i wonder wich possibillities would be there to "combine" self playing patches..@@kurisuchiinathecrocodile333
@@kurisuchiinathecrocodile333 I developed a certain patch on my MS-20. Turned off the power once. And the next day, turned the power on again. Despite not having touched any wires or knobs, different sounds emerged compared to the previous day's sounds, and I can no longer reproduce them. ... I frequently experience this kind of situation.
Yeah, exactly! I definitely felt that the sounds of this patch should resemble something, but I couldn't quite put my finger on what that something was.
One of my fave CZcams channels
I appreciate the kind message!
This thing is a 70's soundtrack cheatcode, i need one!
Glad you're enjoying the patch! Thanks for the message!
love this one, seems alive
Thanks! Yeah, I think this green one is alive :)
This is soooo good
Thaaaanks!
Lovely 😍
Thanks! 😊

Thanks for the feedback! The trigger source is the MG. It's triggered by patching MG (square) to TRIG IN.

I try to do this on the k2 , not the same, I love your patches and your ideas
Thanks for the message! It's totally fine if it's not the same as mine. Just go ahead and create patches cooler than mine!
but do all techniques work on k2 though? just different results?

The ping-pong delay is shining brightly.
Yeah, and I tried to make the beginnings and endings of the cycles of sounds' sequences have a slightly unusual resonance.
so amazing! tried on my ms-20 mini but it doesn't play like this, instead I only hear pink noise
Thanks! Adjusting the knobs on both ends of the ESP and tweaking the main volume is crucial.
This patch reminds me of something like a Suikin-kutsu.

sounds like a music from sci-fi movie!
Yep, I think the same. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
Very comfortable here too. Are these on the original or the mini?
Thanks! This green machine is the MS-20 'FS'.
What year model? Does fs mean full scale?
@@total_leftie
Yeah: www.korg.com/us/products/synthesizers/ms_20fs/
This analog? Description is suspicious. Completely reproduces the analog circuitry of the time? What does this mean? Modelled or…
@@total_leftie
Yeah, well, it's kind of like a full-sized version of the mini.
I have no idea wtf this is but it's making me very uncomfortable
I'm with you man
I'm sorry to hear that, but thanks for the intriguing feedback. For me, this patch is comfortable though.
I’m comfy!
