The narrator has missed out the main reason for this Ill-fated accident.Before departure from Karachi,the Captain was briefed by Bhoja Air Maintenance,that,the weather radar was unserviceable,but,he still insisted on carrying out the flight.In aviation,we all know that,you are not supposed to dispatch with an unserviceable weather radar,it’s known as a NO GO item,on the MEL(Minimum Equipment List).Particularly,in this case,when the crew was aware that the there were thunderstorm cells,in the vicinity of the airport,especially,on the approach.If the radar was serviceable,the crew would have definitely seen the thunderstorms,which were directly on the approach path.They could have made a missed approach and try another one,or diverted to the alternate airport,and would have lived to see another day. A purely fatal decision by the Captain to dispatch from Karachi.Very sad.
i still remember the day when i was 5 years old at islamabad airport with my parents waiting for bhoja airline to comeback from karachi to take us to karachi...THAT WAS A HORRIBLE DAY....I STILL REMEMBER THE HORRIFIC CONDITIONS OF PEOPLE WAITING FOR THEM AT AIRPORT THERE.

Real reason for the crash this 737-200 series has Major problem of Rudder Paddle Hardover and this Bhoja plane was a scrap plane REFURBISHED and both Engine RPM was also Mismatched and all these issues Resulted in crash
Pilots are under pressure from the airlines not to divert plane to other airports in case of bad weather as diversion can cost the airlines a lot of money. This is the reasons captain of plane tries to land at the destination at all costs in spite of all risks. If the plane is diverted to other airport, they have to make arrangements for the passengers boarding and lodging or food and then bring them back to their destination at the cost of airlines and therefore they avoid it.
