I remember in the 80’s as a teen and player GIT was always a dream of mine. Still to this day I’d love to attend a place like this.
Its a community. Its not a competition, its love.
If only i was born in USA.....Berklee was a sort of a legend for me when i was a child and i had no idea of what's going on to the other side of the globe.
Larry Baione was my guitar teacher at Berklee. He had a Rocky Balboa poster in his room. We were so busy being at school when that movie came out that I never got to see it. I asked Larry if Rocky won the fight. He wouldn't tell me. He was a perfect teacher for me. I think he shared a name with a guy the mafia was after. I am Michael A. Delaney. I shared a name with another student at school who had a different middle initial...R Got my diploma handed to me by Mr. L. Berk. It was a great experience and I am forever grateful for attending.
I was there 2001 to 2002. Majored in Piano Performance and Composition. Learned so much in those years.

Wish I was also a part Berklee. Such amazing music teachers would have got the opportunity to learn music more deeply. 🤘

Emmanuel Dokun Oke and me are on the same page about the drive that holds you as a musician. Doesn't matter what level you are, there will always be the next level to conquer.
My goal is to study in graduate school in that department, after graduating in MPB / JAZZ guitar at the Conservatoire of Tatuí, here in Brazil.
honestly, if i was a multi millionaire, i'd spend the rest of my life getting degrees in art, psychology, and music - every so often putting out a recording, piece of art, or collaborative work and then going back to learning more and being around other curious, creative, and ambitious people - learning every rule just so i could break them

I have already sent a mail to the college about its curriculum and pricing details, not to mention the admission of foreign students. Yup i am, I love all styles of music but have a soft corner for Metal and Jazz ( not to mention fusion )

I'd live and breathe in their classrooms just to copy what their playing!!!! but I'm far from being able to go their😭😭 so I just buy books wherever I can sometimes down by my local guitar center ughhh I'd give anything to study note for note, technical skills, composition, phrasing, anything!!!!!!

I’m to old to go to college so seeing this bums me out a little. I can’t justify stopping my life and moving across the country for this. It’s not like I have kids but this is something at this stage in life that would be very difficult to achieve if not impossible.

I am going to a music college, I investigated and they have only a Jazz major when it comes to Electric guitar, I like jazz, I love the way it sounds and I've tried playing and it is fun, but I've never been exposed to the jazz world, I am a little confused and I feel a bit scared of this path. I need some advice. 😅

I've always been in love with guitar but had to stop due to frustration. I have hyperhidrosis, an illness which has something to do with excessive sweating. I was really frustrated that I threw away my dreams of becoming a professional guitarist. I saw this and I felt the spark again. I guess I will just have to deal with it. lol

As a guitarist I have some problems with my fingernails - they are brittle and weak. I've been trying to use some nail conditioner but still get no satisfaction. Berklee help me, what should I do? Any special diet?
