Driving the BMW M6 GT3 Racecar is INSANE!

- It's not every day you get an opportunity to jump behind the wheel of something like the BMW M6 GT3, a full racecar of the highest order but I headed over to Bilster Berg in Germany to join BMW Motorsport and do exactly that...
Following joining Team Walkenhorst and my friend, George Richardson, driving an M6 GT3 at the Nurburgring 24H the team invited me to join this private event in Germany and get to give it a go myself. Things got underway with a full set up and induction to the car, the gear, the briefing and ensuring all is set. From there I head out with works driver Lucas Luhr in the BMW M235i Racing for some warmup and sighting laps before switching over to the main beast.
What can I say, what a phenomenal thing to do and an insanely immersive experience to live. Obviously it takes more than two short stints on an unfamiliar track to properly push it but the level of control and feeling in the car is just outstanding. The only problem, I want to do more of this, I'm hooked!

M6 GT3 is cool, but I wouldve burst into tears if they said I could drive the Z4 GT3.
For me it has to be the V12 Vantage GT3. The early GT3s were just brilliant.

I know the feeling you had when it all becomes real once your behind the wheel and actually out on the track for real! I was blessed to be able to drive a Sprint Cup NASCAR on Talladega Speedway. 9 laps and I was totally petrified for the 1st two laps. Anyway, I really enjoy all of your videos! Cool vid and awesome car Shmee, and ive watched some races and i can tell you that Lucas Luhr is no joke! Hes definitely one of the fastest GT drivers out there and always on or near the podium so to even come close to his perfomance in some areas is amazing. I bet he could push the car to go even faster though!

but this one will set him back like 450K € and have immense running costs. The M235i Racing maybe. But I think having to get the car to the track, etc. is too much of a hassle for him. Road legal converted 997 GT3 Cup would be an option though
PaganiZondaF650hp We were not talking about this GT3. It's nothing like cheap to run : between 80 and 150€ per km.
Since then, he revealed all hi secrets cars ;)

Now I drive this car every day (in Assetto Corsa Competizioni simulator.. :) ) and I love it!! It's a beast. Little bit heavy on front in turning but sooo powerful. Congratulations to this experience. Must have been MEGA... :)

Not sure Matt Leblanc is right...just yet...seems a bit out of place and annoyed at the process at times...and it's only season 1! I don't think he"ll last. Evans is enjoying himself immensely.... Hope we get a third presenter soon.... Really looking forward to Harris on EXTRAGEAR! I hear he's a regular there already - though he missed a show last week

In a GT3 car like this, do you use the clutch just to take of or do you also press it when switching the gears? I've seen videos of V8 Supercars where they basically just use it from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to third and then just step of the gas when switching.
