Episode 4 being more of a filler episode really helped take episode 5 beyond the stratosphere , then the writing on episode 5 was pulling at the heart strings this was an impeccable episode. Seeing Remy LeBeau get his flowers in a truly epic way, this episode was one for the ages
This show, though. Reminded me why Gambit was my favorite X-man as a kid and then killed him off within SECONDS! Also, that's all going to sit there for two weeks cause ep 6 is going to be all about Storm fighting demons without her powers.
Man, Rogue and Gambit could have put those mutant power suppressing collars to good use all the way back in Season 1. They can create a whole danger room that simulates fights and Cerebro that amplifies psychic powers all over the world, but they can't figure out that those collars could give them a whole lifetime of fun? 😂

We get the talking one day, and she tells me about her childhood, and why she can't drive. She's pretty cute too, white chick, red hair. (in my head, I'm geeking out) 😅 I was like, oh you're like Jean Grey, the Phoenix. The who? Lol. Long story short I showed her Jean. Fast forward a few years and I see her again this month. I'm like Phoenix! Omg, it gets a laugh every time. Then this new show comes out and I'm like yoo you gotta watch it. She's like I can pretend I watched it 🤣 good times, good times. She was like I'm not watching it. Cool down to Earth girl, loves kids, etc. She's dope man. One day I was playing System Of The Down - Chop Suey and she knew all the words. She's one of the only people I can pick up that turns up. Full on rocking out.

X-men “97” is literally showing everyone why Rouge is my favorite. And I love storm so much but it was something about Rouge and her powers, her flirty relationship with Gambit, the accent, she’s so fun to me. When they wasn’t on an episode, especially Rouge, I would be so disappointed. So now seeing how they are writing them I’m so in love with this show. Chef’s Kiss. Also did I cry? This episode was amazing. Cyclop telling that woman off for all mutants and drama going on between Gambit and Magneto/ their tragic ends. If they don't hire that Demayo guy back for the MCU live action Xmen so we can get this in the 1st or 2nd movie.
Won’t say I shed tears but felt them coming for sure a few times. When they zoomed in on Rogue and Magneto locking eyes just before he told Leech “Don’t be Afraid”. I was like “Oh no this is really about to happen!” Then when Gambit got jabbed, watching the 3-Headed Godzilla Sentinel slowly light up Neon Pink, had me like “Fuuuuuuckkkk😰”. Not Gambit especially after his heart got torn out after the convo with Rogue then a had a whole bag of Morton’s Salt dumped in that wound when Rogue/Mag floated around dancing. Emotionally intense episode

Gambit has always been certified and this episode had me right back to my childhood on the Saturday morning roller-coaster ride! I hope it continues to get better‼️

He was Omega but after the surgery the other commentator referenced; he is Alpha level. Gambit might not have bren an Omega but he had what it took to save the day.

It's possible that he shielded the blast and then afterwards leech (the little boy, whose power is to nullify other mutant powers) disabled, thereby masking the *_"omega level threat"_* that the sentinel's sensors were detecting.
The micro and macro story telling in this show!!! Amazing. I cant help but notice the parallels of black wall street with what happened in this episode on the macro scale. So, one thing always puzzled me about the whole Rogue thing, especially in this universe where the power dampening collar technology exists. Why not just get Beast to make her a custom power dampening collar or bracelet that can be turned on/off and just use that so she can touch people if she wants and then use her strength when she needs to?

They did that for gambit because the me too movement hates the old gambit even tho he was made for 12 year old boys but we grown now so they did the perfect saving grace for his character

The micro and macro story telling in this show!!! Amazing. I cant help but notice the parallels of black wall street with what happened in this episode on the macro scale. The way cyclops gives the perfect preface to how mutants know the "normals" see them and on national television. And... the watcher just be sitting there, lol. Ol twinkling eyed ass... 😂

This episode damn near ruined my goddamned life
So, one thing always puzzled me about the whole Rogue thing, especially in this universe where the power dampening collar technology exists. Why not just get Beast to make her a custom power dampening collar or bracelet that can be turned on/off and just use that so she can touch people if she wants and then use her strength when she needs to?
Cuz the collars would effectively give the mutants a type of cancer that cancels outs their powers after prolonged use.
