    Super clean install, I just installed mine for my Raptor bronco and it sounds 10x better than an expensive blow off valve

      Exactly this is a very high quality product and easily compares to the brand name companies. Best of all this isn’t a sponsored video so this is real feedback and reviews. Thanks for watching and commenting!!

    Keep in mind with blow off valves like this. Make sure you don’t get into water deep enough to splash into that area. Or you will be sucking up water.

  • @dailygrind5575
    @dailygrind5575 Před 4 měsíci +5

    That engine is designed and tuned to run with a recirculation valve, not a blow off valve. It should be properly tuned if you switch these out or you could see a loss of performance, carbon build up from engine running rich or even premature engine failure

    • @Cirones_garage
      @Cirones_garage  Před 4 měsíci

      Didn’t see a loss in mine drove it all over the state and put 20k miles on it with the blow off. No tune needed.

    • @dailygrind5575
      @dailygrind5575 Před 3 měsíci +4

      @@Cirones_garage you don’t “need” to tune the vehicle, I said you should. Besides that, a bypass valve recycles excess air that wasn’t used for combustion but was already cooled through the intercooler. This is especially beneficial in the summer since cold air is better for performance and the outside air temperature is hotter. Secondly, the bypass valve leaves air inside the intake when you let off the throttle instead of dumping it into the atmosphere. Meaning there is less turbo lag and better throttle response. Unless you have a high HP engine the only reason to use a blow off valve is for the sound and again it should still be tuned

    • @Sam-fz8im
      @Sam-fz8im Před měsícem

      Hate to burst your bubble daily but you don’t need a tune. The BOV on the Bronco is located before the MAF so it is only releasing unmetered air. If it was located after the MAF then it would need to be redesigned and tuned for the release of metered air. I do agree that I would not trust the design totally because as you can see it exposes the piston of the valve to the elements. The factory valve is not designed for this exposure and will likely fail over time. If you want the sound pay the $ and do it right with a good quality BOV made to release to the atmosphere.

  • @Just4AlcFun
    @Just4AlcFun Před měsícem +2

    Apparently a waste of money and time. Looking at the way the valve opens - it seems that the turbine will be underinflated, because the valve is displaced and there is access to the return circuit. if you wanted a "Pshhhh" sound - it would be easier to remove the bypass pipe to the circuit and plug it from one side, and for a loud sound put a whistle on the output.
    I have a 3.5 Ecoboost with 420hp and tried to do exactly that, but put everything back in place.

      Agreed it’s always a fear putting cheap parts on a nice vehicle. It basically is just a spacer so that’s why I wasn’t too worried about this one, but everything else on the build will be top notch. Thank you!!

    • @chrishaugh1655
      @chrishaugh1655 Před 7 měsíci

      Yeah, because surely more than half of the products inside of that Bronco didn't come from China, right? FFS the entire head unit, dash board unit, most of the plastics, most of the rubber, ALL of the electronics, etc. came from China. But sure, an aluminum blow-off valve will be an issue...

    IT won't engage the turbo while revving the engine in park. I couldn't get it to in mine anyway. How does it sound while driving around?

    • @Cirones_garage
      @Cirones_garage  Před 8 měsíci +3

      In park you basically have to floor it to get it to engage the turbo, but in regular driving it sounds great and engages very often. Even with my music playing I can still hear it.

    • @Cirones_garage
      @Cirones_garage  Před 2 měsíci

      I’ve driven both under heavy load and I drive it hard as heck for over a year with zero issues. If anything did fail it would be the factory valve and that would be warrantied you’d just need to take off the blow off valve spacer and convert it back to original.

      No it doesn’t they’d have to prove that this part caused a failure. However I would keep all the original hardware so you could easily swap it back when going in for a warranty claim.

    • @Cirones_garage

      It’s just cnc cut metal and an o-ring if the seal goes bad just replace the o-ring, order a new one or just take it off and convert it back to original it’s only 3 bolts that are easy to get to.
